“Superb Venue”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 October 2013 for a stay in October 2013

We have just returned from Luggs Barn family, boyfriends/girlfriend and puppy and had a wonderful time! It was the perfect venue for everybody to get together, although a little tricky to find even with Sarahs detailed instructions., but so worth it once we got there! (A bigger sign would have made it easier)

The barn was beautifully presented and had no issues in who had the best room. They were all brilliant. The 3 aspect view from the sitting room was lovely and with the piano we even had some of the youngsters playing.

The kitchen was well equipped and it was much appreciated that all my supermarket shopping was put away. Another delight was a beautiful homemade sponge that was devoured.

There are some lovely walks in the area and although the weather wasn't its best we still enjoyed our walks.

Another recommendation is a trip to the Catherine Wheel pub a short drive away for Sunday lunch. We all agreed, one of the best Sunday lunches out we have had.

We would definitely all go to Luggs Barn again and have already recommended it to a few people.

“FANTASTIC CHRISTMAS HAD BY ALL!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 January 2013 for a stay in December 2012

We decided to have a christmas away this year with friends.
Looking for somewhere very rural and out the way- this certainly fitted the bill.
A little bit tricky to find along meandering lanes , but this was part of the charm, as is really tucked away.
Picture postcard setting. For me quintessentially British and of these Isles. Where would you find a place like this in another country?
The conversion of the Barn was fantastic.really high quality and very tasteful. Bathrooms, bedrooms, kitchen, living room ,real wood floors ,everything
Were were 6 and 5 children , so space was important as we were all there for a week.
The Barn fitted the bill in this respect also
Immeadiate locality is stunning,-the Culm river valley, you dont really need to travel anywhere as great countryside for walks is just outside the front door.
Sarah the owner was lovely. very hospitable and nothing was too much trouble.
A few negatives- the wifi set up was almost non exisistent - so expect to be isolated and out of touch.
For a large group maybe another fridge maybe would have been useful? this was a bit of a struggle - particularly at it was Christmas
And the wood burner was a bit smokey and kept setting off the fire alarms
But this is just being a bit picky and didnt detract from the overall experience
A lovely place and would definately return perhaps in the summertime.
As Its already booked for christmas '13 :-(

Thankyou very much Tamara, we're glad you all enjoyed yourselves. Your feedback is very useful - we'll certainly consider another fridge if we have large groups in future, and will have the wood burner flue swept - it's never smoked before so thankyou for bringing it to our attention. The wifi is unfortunately very slow but having investigated, we're told that we're getting the best speed we can for this location.

Thanks again for your lovely comments in the visitors book and for taking the time to review Luggs Barn. We would be delighted to welcome you all back any time. Best regards, Sarah
