We stayed on 27th September on our way to Cornwall. Two adults in a double room. Modern, clean rooms in an annexe at the back of the pub/restaurant. Great food too. Good value for money accommodation.

Room Tip: Some rooms on ground level and some up a small flight of steps

Had a very enjoyable meal with my partner. Service was quick and the staff very friendly. Recommend the Liver and Bacon. Good old fashioned pub grub and we didn't leave hungry unlike some other local restaurants.

As we drove through the suburb to The Heathfield Inn I was wondering what we would find. What a big surprise. Set amongst a housing estate this English gem really impressed. From the lovely welcome to our farewell 2 days later the 5 of us all felt very lucky to have stayed here. The thatched building was well kept and we were impressed with the size & cleanliness of our rooms. A full English Breakfast was included. Carlos, who managed this wonderful Inn could not have been more welcoming or helpful in directing us to many interesting local sites. Don't let the drive to this gem in the burbs put you off. Once there and settled in the garden under the trees with a cold beer you could be anywhere.

My 4th or 5th stay here at the Heathfield Inn which is located at the top of town. Has been run by Carlos and Julie for some years now. Large bar and sitting area downstairs with a more formal dining area on one side. Food is good and ambience nice. Very peaceful and you'll get a good night's sleep. Massive car park outside. Ideal for a quiet relaxing break in a restful location.

Room Tip: All rooms are above the hotel itself excepting the large family room which is situated externally (but still part of the main building) on the ground floor. We stayed here and had a wonderfully quiet peaceful night.
