“Magical retreat”

A lovely, quirky, magical sort of place high up in the trees. Its far enough away from people to feel like a proper retreat but not so isolated you can't find assistance if you needed it. It is surrounded 360 degrees by woodland and high enough to warrant a spiral staircase (narrow but not impossible with hand luggage). The best bit is sitting outside on the balcony with a cup of tea (or wine!) and realising the only thing you can hear are bird calls and leaves falling. Its got everything you could ever need to cook, eat, shower and sleep. There is a phone signal with both EE and Vodafone (but I guarantee you'll turn your phone off within 2 minutes of arriving). The car is safely tucked away in a space far from the main road and a few minutes walk to get back to. You get there by driving down a farm track but its perfectly navigable by ordinary car - just watch out for the rabbits :)

Within 10 minutes drive is Honiton, nice little town with plenty of shops if you've forgotten anything. Sidmouth is also lovely and about half an hour away.

If you're thinking of a treehouse holiday, book this, its the authentic treehouse stay and worth every penny.

“A unique and memorable experience.”
Reviewed 5 May 2016 for a stay in September 2015

My husband and I spent the weekend in this beautiful location to celebrate our second wedding anniversary. We weren't disappointed in the slightest.
The tree house was clean, homely and set in one of the prettiest country locations.
The tree house itself has been built excellently, with high standard amenities.
When you wake up in the morning and hear the birds, it is a fabulous experience.
This is most certainly a stay that couples/friends should experience.
I left feeling relaxed and refreshed. Worth every penny.

“Fabulous stay”
Reviewed 10 January 2016 for a stay in August 2015

Such a fabulous place to spend a few nights and get away from it all. A really cosy tree house, beautifully kitted out with everything you need. We had a lovely visit to Killerton House and some beautiful local walking while we were there. A holiday in an actual treehouse - it was great.

“Heaven!”

“A lovely place to stay to relax and unwind. Very quirky! We had lovely day trips to the Blackdown hills and nearby towns. Our experience was made even more memorable by the storm! and just being in a tree and listening to the rain on the roof all night was fabulous!

“Magical and cosy :)”
Reviewed 3 November 2015 for a stay in October 2015

Can we move in please? We were both really excited about staying in a treehouse and we were not disappointed. It was lovely experiencing the wildlife and the nearby countryside and woodlands. Very amusing to watch the squirrels looking for acorns to bury. It’s all so cosy :). Thank you for The Nest and your hospitality.

“Sheer Luxury”
Reviewed 30 September 2015 for a stay in April 2015

What a wonderful holiday! The tree house was sheer luxury, being of hotel standard inside. We hugely enjoyed the surroundings, and took several walks on the beautiful Devon farm during our stay. The woodland in which we stayed was private and peaceful, with a view between the trees of the valley below. We will definitely be visiting again, this has been one of our favourite holidays so far!
