“Comfort & peace in a beautiful location.”
Reviewed 11 September 2016 for a stay in August 2016

We had a lovely visit to Otter Rise over the August Bank holiday. The description of the accommodation is very accurate and we had everything we could possibly need. We received a lovely warm welcome from Anne along with a deliciously baked loaf still warm from the oven. It is the perfect place to get away from everything and enjoy peace and quiet along with beautiful countryside.

“A perfect retreat away from it all!”

We had a wonderful time at Otter Rise and from the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and at home. Anne had kindly provided some home made bread, cakes, marmalade and elderflower cordial in addition to a jug of milk in the fridge which is always welcome! The cottage is in the middle of nowhere but for us, this was ideal. Half an hour down the road gets you to the coast, with many pubs/other facilities within a short drive. The cottage is surrounded by beautiful countryside with many walks included within the information pack. We thoroughly enjoyed combining 'Issy's walk' with a trip to the 'Pooh sticks bridge'. We will definitely return in the future.

“A wonderful retreat”
Reviewed 23 April 2016 for a stay in April 2016

Many thanks, Anne & Chris, for a wonderful short break from the city. We came with our dog, Issy, who also says "Woof woof!" We could not have asked for a nicer welcome, with the table loaded with goodies and a de-stressing walk in the Otter Valley. The accommodation is excellent, just what we needed. on our second day we visited the Donkey Sanctuary and walked down the South Coast Path to the shore. Our final day saw us adding to the list of local walks and checking out the farm shop. It really is a retreat for rest and recuperation. We shall be back.

We have added your walk to those in the folder and have entitled it 'Issy's Walk' although we know you both helped her with some of the navigation!
Best wishes

“Cosy weekend away”
Reviewed 18 April 2016 for a stay in April 2016

We visited the cottage with our 3 young kids and had a delightful stay.

We spent an evening in front of the fire drinking wine and enjoying the views over the valley. It's a fabulous place to relax and get away from it all.

The cottage had everything we needed, including some exceptional home made jam which was a nice touch.

Due to the nature of it's location (which is lovely!) I would ensure that you have what you need as there is no popping to the shop! We we're fully prepared and had a great stay.

We will be booking again soon.

Thank you Anne and Chris for a great stay.
