Owner description: The South Devon Chilli Farm is set in the wonderful South Hams district of South Devon overlooking stunning views. We grow over 100 types of chilli and there is a free-to-visit display in the Summer. The site has a farm shop and cafe selling the products we produce from the chillies we grow on the farm. All the products can be tried in the shop and are served with the meals in the cafe. During the Spring and Summer, we sell a wide range of chilli plants. We also have seeds and chilli-growing equipment. We have a lot of gift ideals that are ideal to take home. Just 5 miles South of the A38.

Really great place to visit if you want something less "touristy". Plenty to the kids to do and run around while we enjoyed a drink from the cafe. Really interesting. Worth a visit. We'll be going again.

“What a surprise!”
Reviewed 12 August 2014

We had a lovely couple of hours exploring all things chilli at this delightful and very friendly place. We had driven past every day as we were staying on a farm further down the lane and had no idea what an amazing place it was.....looks very unassuming from the entrance. Martin was really friendly and gave us helpful information and the coffee and brownies are terrific. We sat outside having a last look at the lovely Devon countryside before driving back to Bristol. My husband has mobility problems and there was a Blue Badge parking bay right outside the shop. The growing tunnels are not wheelchair accessible but my husband was happy to look in the shop and then sit in the cafe.

“Pit stop”
Reviewed 8 August 2014 via mobile

Great afternoon tea and chilli chocolate crunch cake. View from the cafe is amazing and a small kid park means they are occupied. A visit to pick up essentials (chilli related) from the shop is a must.

“A Chilli Lover's Paradise”
Reviewed 8 August 2014

I really like my food hot and spicy and seeing that this chilli farm was just down the road from where we were camping we decided to come and see how many different chillis there are in the world - and the answer is a lot! Wonderful to take a look at so many varieties of chilli and then put your feet up in the cafe. We popped along to the shop which is brilliant for letting you try all the different types of chilli sauces, jams and jellies, etc on sale. I made a couple of purchases including Chilli Jam and Hot apple jelly - both of which are amazing!
