“Well appointed accommodation in peaceful location”
Reviewed 23 July 2014 for a stay in July 2014

We choose this location for exploring South Devon and attending our son's graduation at Exeter (40 miles away). The kitchen was well equipped, which made self-catering easy, with a large table for family dining over-looking the garden. The first floor, vaulted-ceiling lounge was very comfortable with books and DVDs for rainy evenings as well as great views across the valley. The master bedroom had a super-king sized bed and good ensuite bath/shower room attached. Our young people also enjoyed their double bedrooms on the ground floor with their own shower/WC next door. Although the parking is not directly outside the property there was the option of dropping off shopping or passengers in the courtyard outside. There was lots to do in the area from walking on Dartmoor to the beaches at Bigbury, Soar Cove and Teignmouth. We would recommend the boat trip from Dartmouth to Greenaway (NT - former home of Agatha Christie) and the gardens of Overbecks (NT) near Salcombe. In the summer it is a good idea to book tables at local pubs and restaurants but the California Inn to the north is large enough and welcoming if you haven't booked anywhere. Devon lanes take a little bit of getting used to after the wide verges of East Anglia but don't let that stop you staying at Foxes Hollow because we would thoroughly recommend it. :)

“Delightful Cottage”
Reviewed 6 June 2014 for a stay in May 2014

We have recently returned from a wonderful stay in the beautiful Foxes Hollow cottage. The location is idyllic, quiet and peaceful with beautiful views over open countryside. The cottage is spacious, furnished with lovely eclectic and individual style, but comfortable and homely at the same time.
The kitchen was extremely well equipped with all necessary for self catering and a very welcome bottle of wine and delicious fudge! Excellent communication from owners, helpful information about local places of interest and eateries.
This is a delightful property in a most lovely area a little distance from places of interest but in a bonus for relaxation. The garden was a delight too. We would definitely return and were sorry to leave!
Highly recommended
