The stark dark granite walls of Dartmoor prison in Princetown, rise up steeply from the grassy slopes below. Who can imagine being improsoned here when it was first built, let alone now. Built to contain the prisoners from the Napolionic wars, it is still a foreboding place, brooding on the hillside. A must to see.
