One of the best B&Bs I have stayed in. Good value for money.
Bedrooms are are the small size, but comfortable and spotlessly clean. There is a lounge on the ground floor for guests use which is well stocked with books and magazines.
Breakfast is traditional full-English, with fruit, yogurt and cereals also available.
Parking is provided at the rear of the property.
The location is about five minutes walk from the sea front.
We will be staying there again.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back are larger and have some sea view

Great little place, just up the hill from the centre of Lyme. Lovely walking down along the cliffs and to beach. We had some lovely Spring weather and early morning walk before breakfast was great. The room was a little tight on space as there were 3 adults staying in 1 room. Apart from that, everything was great. Lovely hospitality from the owners and the bantams out the back were gorgeous! We loved Lyme!

The guest house is situated on the main road in to Lyme Regis, just a few minutes walk from the sea front. The room we stayed in had a double bed with en-suite shower room in the corner. It was a fairly compact space but fine for a short break. The room and the guest house in general was spotlessly clean.

We had a three night stay here and found Sue the owner to be very pleasant and knowledgeable about the local area. She offered advice about bus times, what was going on in Lyme Regis, she even lent us a couple of books with ideas for walks we could do. There's also lots of books and guides in the hall and lounge areas which you can help yourself to.

On all three mornings we had excellent breakfasts. All cooked to order with option to choose whatever you like from the menu. They had decaffeinated tea as well as the usual options. The breakfast itself was generous with excellent quality local bacon and sausage.

You can read more about our visit in my travel diaries at pencer.org.

Warm, comfortable and welcoming with a great breakfast. The guest lounge has a substantial library of guides, maps and books about the area. Despite being on the main road, our room at the back was very quiet.

Sue and Phil are excellent hosts, with lots of local knowledge.

We've just returned from a 3 night stay here for my birthday. The room was very clean with a well proportioned en suite shower room. We were on the front which had a sea view, the road was noisy during the day but didn't matter as we were out all the time. It was very quiet at night.
The breakfasts are cooked to order using good quality ingredients, with plenty of toast and homemade jams. Sue is very helpful and good at giving advice on walks and other information. All in all we had a very relaxing and pleasant stay.

We have stayed at the Albany several times, and it is always excellent value. There is always a warm welcome from Sue, Phil and the bantams (sounds like a 60s pop group!). The rooms are always spotlessly clean, and the cooked breakfasts are always excellent.
The Albany is in a very good location, with car parking, about five minutes walk from the sea front (longer if you want to go to The Cobb), with sea views from some rooms.
Sue and Phil have lots of local knowledge, backed up with maps and guides that they are happy to loan to guests.
