I stayed at the Albany Guest House in Lyme Regis in November 2010 and thoroughly enjoyed my time at this B&B.

Before booking I had contacted Sue to check the guest house would be open during November. The response back was quick and informative adding in details about the local area.

On arrival we were greeted by Sue who showed us round the guest house including the guest sitting room which was full of books on the local area. The room was a good size - double bed and a single (even though there was only two of us), two chairs, chest of drawers, small wardrobe, TV, tea and coffee making facilities and en suite with small dressing table and chair. It was clean and tidy with an excellent view over Lyme Bay.

Breakfast was excellent - cereals available, toast, excellent jams! and tailored cooked breakfast to how we liked it.

Would definitely stay here again.

We've stayed twice with Sue and Phil and would highly recommend it. We arrived early on both occassions and received a very warm welcome from Sue - whilst the rooms were not ready as we were early, we were given the key and shown around. Plenty of parking and the rooms are spotless and very comfortable. Breakfasts are cooked to order by Phil and delicious - veggie option available. I loved the fresh fruit salad and yoghurt. The B&B is situated not too far up the hill on the Charmouth Road which after a long day of fossiling is a welcome relief!!

We were looking for an extra night's stay en-route to home from our holiday, and, having made several unsuccessful phone calls to various b&b's saw a 'vacancies' sign and called in. We were very glad we did - Sue welcomed us, the room was really clean and nice, with a sea view, near to town, and breakfast next morning was superb - fresh fruit, cereals, toast and preserves, and a cooked breakfast with locally sourced (and really good) sausage bacon and eggs. Mind you don't run the chickens over when you drive in to the car park! Couldn't fault it.

We recently stayed at the Albany for the weekend, I have to say it is the cleaness guest house I have ever stayed in, little touches that make this as it is, on arrival in our rooms we had little chocolates on our bed , made from a local lady, the breakfast was such a great choice, from full english(with all meet from local farms) - cereal, fresh fruit salad. Sue the lady that owns the house is so helpful and gave us lots of tips of where to go.
The location was great there was parking at the guest house and the walk to town was only 10 mintues. Would recommend this to anyone.

stayed in early oct for 3 nights, made very welcome by Sue, rooms were spotless and beds very comfy. Breakfast using local produce was delicious. Sue was very helpful with local area and places to visit and also to eat. We are going to go back there early part of next year and hopefully will find some more fossils!
