“Lal Quilla has one great advantage over all other restuarants in Lyme”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 March 2014

The staff are always pleasant and very obliging. Lal Quilla has one great advantage over all other restuarants in Lyme............you can take in your own wine or beer and they do not charge corkage!
The food is good, although I have a theory that each curry restaurant has in the back kitchen three bowls of bubbling curry sauce. From these large steaming bowls they cover the selected meal in in either a mild, warm (or reach for the "Cobra Larger") hot curry sauce. This is all I expect form a curry and Lal Quilla does achieve this.

“Your only choice on a Monday…..but a good one”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 March 2014

Lyme is rather quiet early in the week out of season and so your dining options for Monday to Wednesday are likely to be Lal Qilla, Millside and Turles in that order. (See my reviews of the others.) Returning to this curry outlet, however, it’s perfectly acceptable with a wide range of regional and “hotness” settings. Main course meat portions were generous and the nan breads light and fluffy (always a good sign). An added bonus is you can bring your own drinks – there’s a Tesco Express just up the road – and this shaves a good £10 off the bill.

“Just what we wanted”

Tasty curry, a good atmosphere and prompt service. BYO drinks made it cheaper too - the tesco a few doors down was very useful for this.

“Fabulous food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 February 2014

Probably the best Indian cuisine hubby and I have had for a long, long time.We had the special meal for two, which was not only beautifully cooked and presented food, but amazing value for money.
The staff are so welcoming and friendly, with one of them especially being a bit of a character.
