Warning - do not go to this restaurant unless you are hungry! We had a lovely lunch sitting outside in the Spring sunshine. Freshly made sandwiches, hummus and peppers and brie & bacon, were large enough to quell the biggest appetite. The addition of a bowl of chips was, unfortunately, a step too far for us on this occasion. Eyes bigger than.... I suspect. But what chips! Heston Blumenthal look out you have a challenger down here in friendly Lyme. On this occasion we had booked Dinner, Bed and Breakfast at our hotel so we will be sure to put this restaurant at the top of our list for our next visit.

Three of us dined here on a quiet Thursday evening. We had an excellent meal, which I couldn't fault (and I usually find something wrong!). I don't eat meat but there were three things on the short menu that I could have had but I opted for the cod fillet with triple cooked chips. The fish was perfect as was the accompanying tartare sauce and bashed peas - a simple dish but beautifully done. One friend had the sirloin steak which he really enjoyed and the other, the special, which was black bream. The puddings' menu was a real delight - all slightly unusual - and something to come back for. Service was excellent. If you are ever in Lyme Regis, this is the restaurant to visit.

We received a very warm welcome on a cold damp evening calling here on spec and wasn't disappointed. fantastic tasty local food presented in a modern unpretentious manner.pulled Pork with roasted red cabbage and black pudding, wife had steak with the best Chips ever !! great choice of ind glasses of wine rather than a bottle and ended by sharing the best ever Chocolate Fondant with Pistaccio and Chamoix Ice cream. service was efficient friendly and smiley !
Was so good we went back two days later and cappaccio of fish, black bream, and shared chocolate fondant to finish. Thank you Millside, we will be back next feb half term.

This was a brief stop off on a wander round, and it was lovely, sat in the sun on a February morning it could not have been lovelier. Service was great, the owner was having coffee though so who knows what the usual service is like, I am sure it will be fab.
The setting is also great for a relaxing stop off.

Had our Valentines dinner here on the Saturday instead of the Friday as husband was at the Marine theatre front of house here in Lyme when Tony Hawks was on stage.
The menu was for both evenings and what a wonderful menu too.
Prettily laid tables with just the right amount of valentine embelishment.
The room was warm and inviting with the general buzz of happy people enjoying themselves, food and ambience.
Plenty of choices for meat, fish and veg options and one could mix n match, a great way to know everything is freshly prepared and that the chef is not a stick in the mud, so very refreshing in every way. Beautifully presented, yummy flavours, perfect portion sized, served with a smile and friendliness.
Without a doubt a very fine evening of delicious food and company.
Thank you
