This is a lovely, family run bed and breakfast. Set in lovely gardens we stayed in one of only two double bed rooms with en-suite attached to the main house. The room was very comfortable and the bathroom matched many high end hotels. The breakfast was excellent with enough choice for anyone.I would stay her again and would recommend it to anyone.

Stayed here for one night in December - having booked this place following the excellent reviews on this site and we were not disappointed. We stayed in the separate annex which has a lovely private lounge on the top floor - it was a real treat after a wet and windy evening in Lyme to have somewhere warm and cosy to come back to. Lots of thoughtful extras had been supplied like umbrellas, dvd's, full size shampoos etc and makeup remover pads. The breakfast choice was fantastic, Miles cooked us up a terrific full english - poached eggs done to perfection. Both Sue and Miles were great hosts and I would encourage anyone staying in the Lyme area to put this B & B at the top of your list.

Room Tip: Annex room was excellent with lovely view over Lyme.

My wife and I stayed here for one night in September whilst touring the west country. What a place. A lovely room and very friendly and helpful hosts Miles and Sue. Nothing was too much trouble. The newly built "guest" extension is beautifully decorated and very well appointed. Every little detail has been thought of and catered for. It really doesn't get much better than this.

We stayed here for 4 nights and it was very comfortable and the hosts very welcoming. You're given your own front door key to come and go as you please.

The room was clean and the king size matress was very comfortable. Great ensuite wet room too. Small fridge in the room with a jug of milk and bottle of water, also tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits which were all replaced and tidied daily. View of the sea and french doors over a juliette balcony. Quiet location.

The breakfasts were delicious and there was a huge selection (see their website for the menu). The pancakes with bacon and maple syrup were so good we had to have them twice during our stay.

The only downside, as others have also mentioned, is that it is a steep walk back to the B&B from town. We managed it up on one day in 15mins (taking the non scenic route) but that was going flat out.

All in all a lovely place to stay in Lyme Regis.

The B&B is extremely comfortable with some excellent extras such as the mini fridge, walk in shower, and king size bed. The room (we were in number 2) was spacious and had lovely views of the garden. Sue and Miles were really helpful and friendly offering advice on where to go and the local eateries! We had a lovely night's sleep but the best part of the stay was the wonderful breakfast! This is the best breakfast we have had in a B&B, cooked to order. We certainly didn't eat too much for the rest of the day, well except the traditional cream tea! The walk is quite steep on the way back from town, but all the better for walking off the breakfast and other food on the stay!! Wonderful 5* B&B.

Wow. What a holiday. Lyme Regis was undiscovered teritory for us, although we had been to Dorset before. Fantastic seaside town, totally unpsoilt by amusements and the usual 'kiss me quick' tat. Local privately owned shops aplenty.

We were blessed with our 'late summer' weather, in 11 days we only had one wet one!

However, the B&B was absolutely outstanding. We had pre-booked, and we knew that we had an en-suite kingsized room. However, once we arrived we were shown to our accomodation, we were - sorry to use the phrase - 'gobsmacked' to discover that we not only had a wonderful bedroom with ever so comfy bed and wet room, tv and plenty of storage space with spare pillows and blankets and control over the central heating should we need it, but our very own upstairs lounge with tv, books, fridge - with bottled water and fresh milk every day, andJuliette balcony from the french windows that overlook the garden, town in the distance and the sea. All the accomodation is excellently decorated and well equipped and leaftles about the local areas are available in the rooms and in the dining room. We had use of the dining room with games and tv for wet weather, and the garden and decking to sit in. The owners Sue and Miles are fantastic hosts and nothing is too much trouble and their breakfasts are out of this world. They have excellent knowledge of their area too, which is shared and tailored to each visitors needs. Parking is available at the B&B, and there is plenty of parking in the town too. The hill that the B&B is at the top of is a bit of grueller to walk back up, but doable, and the local buses run every hour to and from the town for just a pound each for adults. There is also a lovely off road walk by the river down to the town. There are plenty of sights to see and places to visit if you feel the need to go out of Lyme.

Very very well done Sue and Miles and we hope to be able to come back and see you soon (& big and little dogs), and thank you very much for a lovely restful time. We could have both happily stayed even longer though. We are truly recharged and raring to go now. Absolutely heavenly holiday.

Room Tip: Treat yourselves and book the annex if you can, a real home from home and somewhere great to relax a...
