“great fun fossil hunting”
Reviewed 28 May 2014

Spent a great 2 hours walking on the beach looking for fossils. Great way to get some exercise.
Lots of pebbles, and theres always the chance you may stumble upon a great find. Didn't happen this time but we have been lucky on a previous visit. We were cautious of the tides and land slips, but really its quite safe if you stay alert.Great fun and its free.

“lots of landslips but still good fossils”
Reviewed 26 May 2014

there has been a huge amount of damage done over the winter to the beach, the amonite beds have been badly damaged and there have been significant landlips but its still a great place to go.

“fossil fun”
Reviewed 9 May 2014

What a great way to spend a day, searching for fossils to the backdrop of Lyme Bay. It is not a sandy beach, it is a very pebbly beach, but each pebble might contain a fossil!

“watch the tides!”
Reviewed 5 May 2014

Most and only important thing is if you want to go seeing Fossils you should go +/- 1.5 hour before/after low tide. We didn't know and had to return.
So make sure you stick on the tides to enjoy your full walk and seeing the fossils. They really are stunning!
