“I love it here.”

We visit here a lot whilst on holiday. No review will do this place justice. Check out their website for philosophy and attitude. Food is exceptional. I could sit here all day and work my way through all the menus.

“Not quite the level of quality that it's reputed to have”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 July 2014

Chosen to anchor our stay in Lyme Regis as the place to eat well prepared, well cooked, fresh food at a sensible price - we were a little disappointed with what we were presented with. The crab starter was over-sauced and the cod stew was a little over-cooked. One of our party didn't have a main course - but we were still charged for a full meal, which was disappointing. Not a place we can recommend which is a shame as it was billed as 'a place to go' in Lyme Regis

“Delicious, simple and unpretentious.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 June 2014

Recommended by other trip advisors and friends alike this was a must do visit and it doesn't disappoint if you like homemade, unpretentious, delicious food. We went for lunch but l would love to have had breakfast and stayed for afternoon tea too. We had drinks and two 'bread bowls' one with vegatable curry the other with a cold salad with humous. Both were really delicious and very filling - l ate all the curry but could only manage half the bowl. Long benches you share with other dinners feels like you share a community spirit rather than feel imposed upon and the whole experience including service will be remembered as a highlight to our trip. We also bought a large artesan loaf back to enjoy at home and this was without doubt the best bread l have eaten in the UK, and only bettered marginally by the large italian loaves enjoyed in Naples.

“Saturday Supper Club YUM!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 June 2014

We were looking for somewhere to eat on Saturday night and got booked in to here at 7:45. Even though all the restaurants in Lyme say they are booked up, they don't seem to be full, so always ask!!

We had a lovely meal here. An Italian inspired and small menu. Perfect!
Fresh fish, seasonal veg and local wines. Fabulous!
