“AMAZING STAY!!”
Reviewed 24 July 2013

I was really looking forward to staying at Rotherfield house after reading all the great reviews and it did not disappoint.

Jacqui was a great host, very friendly and welcoming. We stayed in the Suite which had a extra living room, the bed was very comfy! It was a lovely room very high standard.

I love Lyme Regis and have been coming here since I was a child, the location was great only 5 minutes walk into town, the breakfast was amazing, fresh & yummy.

I really liked the fact that you have your own entrance and key, the view over Golden Cap is stunning, we at breakfast every morning outside, we could not have asked for better weather.

Myself and my boyfriend went there to celebrate for an early birthday present. And I must say we will definitely be going back :) xx

This was our first stay at Rotherfield House but I very much hope not the last. As other reviewers have noted, this small-scale B&B gets it right on every level - it is most definitely NOT one of those 'boutique' B&Bs where you scratch the surface and find a cruddy old guest house concealed under the scatter cushions.
What did I particularly like?
1. the independence and privacy: what a great idea to give each of the two rooms its own entrance and own patio space. No stairs, no thin walls, no worrying about leaving a family's front door unlocked, etc.
2. the details: fairtrade products, superb breakfasts, champagne flutes as well as wine glasses in the room, a wonderful big shower and (you guessed it) a wonderful big bed. Our room was stylish but comfortable, well equipped without being cluttered. I wish I could strike this balance at home!
3. Jacqui is a great host. She made us feel genuinely welcome during our entire stay, gave good advice on what to do and where to eat, and can honestly say it was a real pleasure to meet her.
4. the location: the centre of Lyme is charming and quaint, but like so many other places can be dominated by cars trying to squeeze themselves around roads that weren't built for them. Rotherfield House is 5 minutes walk from the centre on a quiet residential road, and the very short walk uphill to get there means that guests have an excellent view of the coast from the patio.
I highly recommend this B&B.

This was our second stay at Rotherfield House and can't recommend it enough. Accommodation spacious, modern and well laid out, with own private entrance and patio area where if the weather permits breakfast can be served. Jacqui is helpful and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. The little luxuries such as Dorset biscuits, chocolates and a wide selection of tea and coffee are welcome. The en-suite bathroom is superior to many expensive hotels.

Jacqui is a great host and gave lots of good advice on where to go and where to eat!. The b&b is in a great location, rooms are lovely. Breakfast was fab, and catered for me being a veggie. Would highly recommend. Lyme Regis has some nice shops, and a good vibe.

Stayed for a long weekend in July'13 and couldn't have asked for more. We are normally fussy when it comes to accommodation so based on previous reviews thought we would give Rotherfield House a try, we are so glad we did. Its in a great location with very clean and modern rooms. Jaqui the owner was very friendly, welcoming and recommended some great places to visit, also her breakfasts were a real treat! We won't hesitate to recommend to anyone and look forward to returning again.

This is the only B&B I can think of that I would want to go back to. Very comfortable room, delicious breakfast, and fab hosts. Great to have breakfast out on the patio in the sun. Really lovely place.

My partner and I had decided on a weekend break in Lyme regis and found this wonderful B&B on Tripadvisor, it came with five star reviews and great feedback.
Upon our arrival we were greeted by the owner Jacqui who really made us feel welcome and took the time to show us around and also explain where to go and what to do in the area.
After our long journey the one thing we wanted was the best fish and chips in town, again Jacqui advised on where to go.. and yes they were!! Lymes Fishbar..
In our opinion Rotherfield House is so much more than a B&B, extremely comfortable, the quality of the furnishings and aspect first rate.
Oh yes and not forgetting the breakfasts, excellent quality ingredients, freshly cooked and very hearty!!
Although this is a brief review it only goes to confirm what everyone else is saying!!!
Thanks Jacqui for making our stay so enjoyable... see you again!!
