I'm so glad we stayed here -we usually stay in hotels/inns so felt unsure of staying in someone's house but no worries at all. The room was gorgeous, spacious and with beautiful views. The owners were friendly and not overbearing. Lots of thoughtful touches and the softest bedding I think I have ever experienced.

And the breakfast - was excellent.

We have always stayed at hotels but are so glad that we booked a room at Arnewood House. The owners were great hosts and both very welcoming. We had booked the master room and upon entering the view was to die for. You could see for miles, fields, the village church and on and on. Everything was of a very high standard and the attention to detail was excellent. It's all the little things that make the experience and there was plenty of them from the homemade cookies in your room, the excellent full english breakfast to the homemade bread and jam. Just wonderful, would highly recommend a stay here. We will definately be back next year. Thank you.

Just a nice place to be. Lovely hosts, clean and today home, quiet and fantastic full English breakfast. A great getaway - and they accept young children which definitely was a bonus.

We will definitely go there again when we are having a short break. The views of the rolling hills from the window are just stunning!

We booked all 3 rooms for our Grandson's christening in Whatcombe. What a super B&B. Margaret Thorne the owner is extremely professional, welcoming and clearly knows how to run a super B&B.

The rooms were outstanding, we the master bedroom. It was huge, so clean airy and light. The views were outstanding stretching for miles across Dorset to Studland. The en-suite bathroom was great and the shower was the best ever.

My mother had the family room; this would be so good for a family as it really is a family suite with a twin bedroom, double bedroom and another wonderful bathroom.

Philippa's Aunt had the Green Room, another very comfortable well equipped room with its own en-suite bathroom.

Breakfast consisted of cereals, some wonderful Dorset Muesli, yoghurt and a great English Breakfast consisting of bacon, eggs of choice, sausages, grilled tomatoes and mushrooms followed by toast and marmalade. Wonderful and really set us up for the days ahead!! The sausages had a great flavoursome taste and as a bonus Margaret bakes her own bread.

All in all it was a great weekend and made even better with such a wonderful and probably little heard of B&B at Arnewood House. We would highly recommend Arnewood House to anyone staying in this lovely part of Dorset.
