What a find, my wife and I stayed two nights at this B+B, everything was perfect.
From the Bedrooms, Bathroom and the Food, Caroline and Steve were more like
friends that Hosts, Thats the way we were treated, I would say." It was home from home.
The rooms were large and light, very clean and comfortable as was the bathroom.
The food was of very good quality and plenty to choose from, and more if required.
Caroline was very informative of the history of the area, and gave some good tips
of where to visit. St.Martins is situated in a good location in Dorset, in the country and
not too far from the coast.
If you are travelling in that area you should ring ahead as someone may get there
first. Hope to see you both again.
Clive and Sylv. Cardiff.

Dear Clive & Sylv

You are extremely kind.

We''re so very pleased that you were comfortable and enjoyed your stay. Do come back again sometime. There are so many wonderful places we could introduce you to in Dorset and you really only had time for the briefest of tasters!

Best wishes to you both
Caroline

My third stay at this B&B in about eight years, always a warm and friendly atmosphere thanks to Caroline and Steve's personal attention, always time for a friendly chat. Rooms are always clean and comfortable and the breakfasts just delicious with home made jams, marmalades and often fruit compotes, plenty of choice. The centre of town with a good choice of restaurants and pubs serving good food are just five minutes walk away. Due to it's central location in the beautiful county of Dorset I thoroughly recommend this B&B. "Thank you both for making our stay so enjoyable. Ray and Chris".

Room Tip: Both rooms are side by side enjoying the same outlook with bathrooom's adjacent to their doors.

Dear Ray & Chris

Thank you so much for your very kind comments and we are so glad that you enjoyed your visit and had time to catch up with all your friends & family. That guests like yourself choose to return to us time after time is hugely gratifying and genuinely appreciated.

Doing B&B is obviously a business but, for us, it is also very much about the pleasure of meeting people, whether new guests or 'old friends', and our house just likes having people in it !

As you say, this is such a beautiful area and Blandford is an extremely convenient and central location in which to base oneself, whether visiting family or just exploring the hugely varied Dorset countryside. I am always amazed at the variety of quality shops, restaurants, galleries and museums that our small market town manages to support and I'm glad that you both enjoyed the various restaurants/pubs.

If you do manage to fit in another trip in the next year or two, we very much hope to see you.

Caroline

I cannot praise this B & B enough! Caroline and Steve's establishment is everything you would wish your accommodation to be when you are choosing somewhere to stay. The rooms are large and spotless, the beds are very comfortable and the food well cooked with a huge choice or you can just have everything!!
Apart from being such kind friendly people you very quickly learn that your enjoyable stay at St Martin's House is the most important thing to them.
Another point in their favour if you have forgotten to bring something, just ask and i am sure they will be able to help all in all, the best B & B we have stayed at. Thank you

Dear All

I don't know who was so kind as to write the review, but thank you. I assure you, the pleasure was entirely ours in having you stay with us! It's a real pleasure to be able to accommodate a family group and, although we can't walk out of the house and hand over the keys, I hope that, having the first floor to yourselves, it felt rather like being waited on in your own home.

We very much hope we will have the pleasure of your company again sometime.

With very best wishes
Caroline & Steve.

PS - hope the family photo came out OK

Over the years we have stayed at many B&Bs, many of which have been very good. However St. Martin's House beats them all! Why? What sets them apart?
Firstly the friendly, caring hosts, Caroline and Steve. They put us at our ease and made us feel like friends visiting them and their beautiful home, rather than strangers.
Secondly their attention to detail. Our bed was prepared just as we like it with blankets and assorted pillows so we slept soundly in the comfortable brass bed. I usually travel with my own supply of goats milk but Caroline had it ready for me.
Thirdly? Well, it is just lovely being there. Our 4 night holiday passed all too quickly.
Would we return? Yes, most definitely. Thank you both so much.

This B&B was very good.We used this as a base while visiting family in the town..
The room was lovely and comfortable, as was the bathroom just across the landing.
The breakfast was out of this world. So much to choose from and wonderful full English breakfast .

This is a most comfortable and welcoming B&B.Caroline and Steve were ready to satisfy every need. The large room we occupied was homely and the restoration of this and other parts perfectly done. The breakast was unbelievable - so much home made preserves, condiments, fresh breads, and of course the 'full English' cooked to perfection. The separate bathroom well restored. No complaints. Haven't been in a better.

26 members of the Bristol Advanced Motorcyclist Club spent another weekend based in Blandford, June 2012. This year I stayed in St Martins House. Our hosts were very friendly and accomodating. The room was clean and comfortable. Our private bathroom, just across the landing was also fine. Breakfast was excellent. I would recomend this B&B

Dear Graham

Thank you so much for taking the trouble to review your stay with us on Tripadvisor. It is very much appreciated and I can only apologise for my delayed response, but it has, unexpectedly, been a very busy season.

It was a great pleasure having three of your group staying with us and especially gratifying that the Bristol Advanced Motorcyclist Club should have chosen Blandford as its weekend base for a second year. Having 7 or more B&Bs in fairly close proximity is a great advantage when trying to accommodate larger groups.

If there were any aspects of your accommodation, or your visit in general, that you would have liked to see improved upon, we would be very interested to hear your comments, particularly since we understand that the group may be visiting Blandford again next year.

Best regards - Caroline
