St Martin's House
Ranked #11 of 23 Blandford Forum B&B and Inns
Reviewed 24 October 2013

This B&B is well located in Blandford. The rooms are extremely comfortable; the breakfasts are delicious; the house has good on site car parking, and is close to town, for an easy walk down to a pub or restaurant for an evening meal.

Thanks to Caroline and Steve for looking after us so well, and making our two-night visit so enjoyable. I hope we can return to Blandford Forum one day; if we do we will certainly stay at St. Martin's House again.

I thoroughly recommend this BandB, and there is a good deal for single guests. The owners could not be more welcoming or helpful. The house is interesting with some lovely antique furniture and character, rather than pristine and modern, but I prefer that. My room was spacious, very clean and comfy and the house is very quiet. Breakfast is delicious with some of the best porridge ever if you want it and a wide range of lovely cooked things. Caroline is very flexible to make sure guests have exactly what they would like. There are lots of books to read, a huge range of DVDs, and masses of useful local information. The house has plenty of parking and it is easy to walk into the centre of Blandford for supper. A bonus is the public leisure centre and swimming pool a few minutes walk away, and there are country walks too. I shall certainly return.

Room Tip: Both rooms very pleasant - a choice between a large double bedded and a twin room

Having returned to Blandford camp for a reunion, we had the pleasure of staying at St Martins B&B. Caroline and Steve were so welcoming and helpful (to the point of Steve lending me a coat to keep me warm!). Having had such a late night we were late to breakfast and were so embarrassed we rushed to leave, but our hosts wouldn't hear of it and ensured we had the MOST fantastic breakfast before we left (making us feel much better!!!). Thank you so much for a wonderful stay in an amazingly comfy bed, the only down side was we didn't stay for long enough!!!

Dear Both
How could we possibly let you disappear off without breakfast? You might have keeled over before the end of the Sunday session! Seriously, we do hope you both had a really special time at the reunion - you all deserve it and I hope you all manage to keep in touch with one another. Come and see us again any time.

I recently stayed at st martins house while working in the area,i work all over the uk and if all the accommodation was as good as here it would be a pleasure to work away for weeks on end.My 3 week stay included an excellent breakfast, large clean bedroom, separate spotless bathroom, books and dvds to suit all tastes and much more.Hosts caroline and steve are a most welcoming couple, nothing is too much trouble and to be made so welcome was quite humbling.Overall 10/10.A must if you are in the area and highly recommended. Thanks for your hospitality.Adrian.

Room Tip: You will not be disappointed with any room.
