You could be forgiven for passing by this fabulous place, if you are the kind of person that judges a book by the cover. From the outside she hides her light under a bushel ... but once inside, you will, I'm sure be hugged in the same way that we were! And the views and grounds are to die for.

Lexi & John, firmly supported by Wynne & Tom create a warm, luxurious and uber comfy home from home - you could not ask for more, although on occasion I may have been tempted to ask for more home made cake that was always waiting for us after our days out - very scrummy ....and I need the recipe for the coffee & walnut please Lexi!!!

Breakfast was excellent, great quality and served with a smile from Wynne & Tom, along with some banter and conversation which makes the experience much more warming.

If I have one regret, it would be giving this place such a glowing review, that it may be fully booked the next time I want to stay!!!

Absolutely brilliant! From the moment we arrived we were spoilt by the housekeeper, Wyn. Everything was just perfect - tea and cakes, comfy beds, home cooked breakfast and so peaceful. The gardens were delightful. The house is within easy walking distance of the town.

Bryanston Cottage is a beautiful home with warm and attentive hosts that cannot do enough for you. From the moment we arrived, we were spoilt with tea and cakes, a big beautiful twin bedroom with large comfy beds, a lovely bathroom with plenty of hot water and a super view out onto the garden. The car parking was safe and secure and all this within very easy walking distance to the town. (and no traffic noise either!)

Wyn and Tom looked after us each morning for breakfast which was delightful and Lexi was always on hand during the day with tea and cakes, even offering us supper one evening when we were delayed.

I have to confess that i had never stayed in a B&B before however this was a really great experience and I will be sure to return again.

Just spent a delightful four day stay at Bryanston Cottage with my husband and parents. What a great find. This is the best B & B we have visited.

• Very tasteful yet cosy and comfortable
• Not intrusive yet friendly and welcoming
• A peaceful retreat right on the edge of town

Bryanston is a grand, tastefully decorated cottage and more importantly extremely welcoming and comfortable. It is an easy two minute walk to the town centre, although when wandering in their beautiful garden, with views to the meadow beyond, you could be forgiven for thinking you were in the middle of nowhere.

With the owners on holiday, the cottage was left in the safe hands of Win and Tom who looked after everything for us, not least our tasty breakfast. We looked forward to catching up with them each morning. We wanted for nothing and I have no doubt any reasonable request would be accommodated. Most days we returned to find homemade cake left in our room.

Bryanston Cottage is a great area to explore the coast (Poole, Sandbanks, Lulworth Cove etc.), the Isle of Purbeck and arguably some of the prettiest villages in the country. All of which are within a 20-30 minute drive. This is the perfect place to stay. We were all sorry to leave and hope to return again soon.

Travelling back from Cornwall, four of us spent one night at Bryanston Cottage. Whaty a wonderful house set in delightful grounds and occupied by the charming John and Lexi Cook, who treated us as guests on their own home and catered for all our comforts. Wyn, the housekeeper, provided us with a delicious breakfast. The rooms were large and beautifully furnished with very comfortable beds. Location is within walking distance of Blandford Forum town centre, so convenient for restaurants, etc. We would highly recommend Bryanston Cottage to anyone wanting a lovely stay on their way to or from the South West.

Room Tip: All rooms good.
