“Another great premier inn stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 October 2013 via mobile

We booked this quite a while ago and got a family room for £35.00 which was excellent value , excludes breakfast , but this can be added for additional payment , room was spacious and clean with tea/coffee facilities, staff very helpful and friendly. Nice nights sleep, hotel has brewers fayre restaurant downstairs which also serves Costa Coffee, not much in the immediate surroundings but taxis are good value, if you don't want to eat in the brewers fayre Morrisions is a stones throw away and you can eat more cheaply in there.

As expected, plentiful and free parking. Safe and secure building. Warm welcome by the staff and impeccably clean rooms.

For a budget hotel, Premier Inns are reliably very good.

I would not hesitate to stay here again.

If you get the best price on the internet the value is outstanding. We have stayed at several Premier Inns and never been diappointed. Now to be a little picky.

The nlighting in the room (11) was poor and made it difficult to read. Probably a combination of my old eyes and these new fangled bulbs.

The shower pressure was quite low; I think the head needed descaling.

Regular noise like a door shutting in the distance or somebody moving furniture. Not enough to keep you awake but slightly annoying when you are lying quietly in bed.

Good point: really friendly and helpful staff on reception and in the restaurant.

Easy check in, big, clean, quiet room. In good location, next door to a brewers fayre , food reasonably priced and very nice.staff efficient and room price very reasonable. The beds are very comfortable and pillows excellent quality.

Room Tip: On second floor room 42 very quiet.

Cost data : Prebooked and prepaid GBP 36 for a Friday night (excl breakfast).

Usual Premier Inn standards - clean room and comfy bed. Ideal location for the 9.00 ferry to Holland as it's only a 2 minute drive to the ferry terminal. Saves the hassle of an early morning drive with the risk of hold-ups on the roads. Restaurant attached. Next door to Lidl which is quite handy. No frills, no luxury, but good value for money. We will use it again when we use the Stena Line to Holland.

Stayed at this hotel a few times now and every time it has been lovely. Check- in is always quick and easy and the rooms are always spacious and exceptionally clean. The beds are huge and really comfortable, they even have a note next to the bed saying if your pillows arn't right let us know. There is a bath and a shower in our room but the shower was running a bit slow so we mentioned it at reception, the lady said she would try and sort it but with it been the weekend there were no maintenance staff around, she also as a good will gesture offered us a premier breakfast each the following morning to compensate for the shower!! We went on our way into Harwich and on return she told us someone had looked at the shower and hopefully it would run better, which it did, it was perfect. The bar area is always clean and the food looked lovely, they also do soft drinks buy one and get unlimited refills free. Our nights sleep that evening was good with very little noise. The following morning we went down for our complimentary breakfasts, it was lovely, there is the usual cereals, spreads etc and the waitress comes and takes your full English order. you can have as many sausages, bacon, hash browns as you like and it was cooked to perfection!!
Check- out was just as easy, the staff are always pleasant and well presented. This is a lovely hotel in a lovely part of the UK, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting or using the ferry terminal which is very close by.

We booked this hotel from Australia. When we arrived on the night prior to a cruise we were greeted well and shown to our room; the room was well appointed.
The temperature in the room was very high and it was then we found the hotel was not air conditioned. We resorted to traditional air conditioning by opening the window to be greeted by the noise of the outdoor drinkers at the hotel next door. Off to bed not happy to find that the bedding was suited to a cold Harwich night rather than a very warm one. Bedding was heavy and not at all suitable.
The good news is that next morning after relaying our dissatisfaction the hotel lived up to their guarantee and refunded our fee.

Room Tip: Rooms should be away from next door hotel. Be aware no air conditioning. If not satisified complai...
