“Well appointed and comfortable apartment”

We were pleasantly surprised by this neat and beautiful apartment on two floors. Everything was good quality (cooker, shower etc.) and we found everything we needed, including toilet paper and cleaning materials! The balcony is small, but big enough to have a cup of tea in the sunshine. Upstairs, it may be necessary to mind your head! At night, it was quiet, as the trains leave on the other side of the building, 100 meters away and only start early in the morning. Harwich Town has some little gems of old buildings, but has little to offer for the tourist. However, by train and bus, you can get to many interesting places in a short time. For us, it was perfect. We will certainly go again.

“Fabulous views, lovely place”

This was a lovely well equipped place to stay. We appreciated having the basics like tea, coffee, washing up liquid etc supplied.
The views from the second floor lounge are great with lots of activity on the water. Harwich is an interesting place to stay and we particularly enjoyed meals at the Samuel Pepys and our ferry trip to Felixstowe and lunch at the Orwell hotel there.

My partner and I decided to book in advance and come for our Valentine's weekend- and it's definitely a firm favourite with us now. It's a home away from home, with all the cosy conveniences, while maintaining a holiday feeling.

A lovely penthouse apartment in old Harwich with sea views from both floors and especially from the fantastic rooftop balcony! The property has everything you could want including washing machine, dish washer, TV, DVD player, WiFi, excellent kitchen, very comfortable bedrooms plus beautiful lounge area with ample seating including sofa bed, therefore the property can sleep 6 comfortably. We will most definitely be back. Highly recommended!

I stayed here recently while working in Harwich and the apartment was a perfect home away from home. The kitchen is well equipped, and the apartment is clean and well decorated. The sitting room with it's large windows under the roof was really the highlight of the apartment, so spacious and comfortable.

Booking was straightforward and Paul responded very quickly, and was always available via text or phone for any queries. Overall great experience and would definitely stay again.

“Just What We Needed”

Edd and I went away for a little weekend to get out of the city for a while and a chance to be together (currently long distance relationship). The air is fresh, the views of the sunset are gorgeous - the place was fully equipped with everything we could have needed, perfectly clean and tidy.
The shower was great, the upstairs penthouse is beautiful and although you can see on a map it's close to the trainline, there is no noise as the bedrooms are at the front of the house - and you can't hear the trains upstairs anyway.
There's a big asda within walking distance (or a second on the train), the trains run once an hour, there are boardgames and books at your disposal and so much room.
The only thing I would say is we were on the 2nd floor - and there's no lift, so not suitable for people with wheelchairs.
We are so grateful for this little town, a beautiful place to come for a rest and we'd love to come back. You only have to look through the guestbook in the apartment to see we're not alone.

This penthouse is happily situated near the old town and is a six minute walk to the seaside. The flat is fully equipped and clean, the beds and setup are extremely comfortable, and the views of the sunset and sunrise that the top floor veluxes afford are remarkable. The town itself is full of friendly folk and highlights include the Friday market at Dovercourt, the Old Bank Studios, the Old Quirky Stuff antique shop, the Electric Palace, Books Sold and Bought shop, and the restaurant Ha'Penny Pier, which serves delightful food. Paul Valentine is very helpful and committed to providing good quality service. This is our second stay with out little dog and we will be definitely coming back.
