The Bolt Hole desperately needs some TLC,the photographs were taken a long time ago.We arrived on a wet day to find nowhere to hang wet jackets not a hook in the place!!! No towel rail in bathroom, two rings of the cooker do not work, didn't affect us but if you want to cook a full meal forget it.I think we were most shocked to find that the heating and water are timed according to winter and summer,so if it's cold you will need to go out during the day.No wifi as stated but no signal for phone either on either mine or my wife's provider.Very run down outdoor area, table and chairs need replacing also gutter missing at entrance way which makes a muddy mess entering and leaving. Its a shame as all these things wouldn't cost much in money and time.No visitors book to leave any comments or suggestions
My mum has just come back from a weeks stay at the bolt hole. This is her second stay at the bungalow but this time she stayed for a week and it again was the perfect cosy retreat. The bungalow is set in a quaint town and walking distance to local amenities, great for taking the dogs to. The cottage is ideally situated, close to Bourton on the Water and Stow on the Wold which are both beautiful villages and are a must see if you decide to stay in the Bolt Hole.
This is the perfect place to relax and unwind for such a competitive price.
Thank you for such a pleasant stay, again!
We had a loverly 7 night stay at the Bolt Hole in Northleach. The cottage is perfect accommodation for a couple with everything you need, and it is an easy walk to the town centre with its shops, pubs and restaurants.
And the town of Northleach is nicely placed to visit the beautiful Cotswolds.
We are looking forward to our next stay.
We stayed at the bolthole for two nights this weekend and had the greatest time. The accommodation was extremely clean and cosy, there is no wifi so it's the perfect retreat. The cottage is also ideally situated, not far from Bourton on the water, Bibury or Cirencester we travelled to all three in one day! It's also close to Stow on the Wold which we visited on our return journey home. There are also great restaurants and wine bars in Northleach all within walking distance. It's the perfect place to relax and unwind but also extremely affordable and we willbe back again.
Having reviewed this property via trip Advisor we stayed for 3 nights. Easy to find and parking off road outside kitchen window. Under floor heating kept us very warm during our stay. The bed was VERY comfy, from a back sufferer. Sky tv was available and so we had a fantastic relaxed trip and WILL be coming again in the spring. Wonderful kitchen and struggled to find anything that we needed that wasn't provided. CAN'T RECOMEND THIS PROPERTY ENOUGH, A fantastic place to stay and very reasonable, WELL DONE.

A charming well equipped cottage tucked away in the quiet village of Northleach . The Bolt Hole was clean, warm and cosy and in particular the bed was so comfortable we were tempted to have a duvet day but with being in an ideal location for exploring and visiting the beautiful Cotswolds surroundings we didn't want to waste a moment .
Only a short drive away were the historic and picturesque villages of Bourton-on-Water, Stow-on-Wold , Bibury , The Slaughters and Burford . The Cotswold Arms in Burford was most welcoming and the meals were very good and reasonably priced even our dog was given dog treats . We would certainly stay at The Bolt Hole again and hope to return in the summer 2017. Thankyou for making our first visit to the Cotswolds a happy , enjoyable experience.
