“Used to be a great little pub! Not anymore.”
Reviewed 14 June 2014

I live in a town close to the Fox and Hounds Coaley and used to eat there with my wife and son and it was wonderful. Unfortunately now it has been taken over by some very unfriendly and unwelcoming people. We went in for a meal on a Monday night and were told we are not serving food and were treated like an inconvenience. When I said we always used to eat here on a Monday we were told well not anymore your not! We had a drink anyway which was overpriced and obviously very old and gone off. I am heartbroken that such a lovely little English village pub has been turned into such a horrible place. I would recommend you avoid this pub at all costs! there are many other good welcoming pubs close by.

“Lots of potential”
Reviewed 29 August 2013

A nice village pub, friendly service and a straightforward, tasty menu. Food was good value, although several of the dishes were not available. The pub is quite tired & needs a bit of TLC but it looks like it has lots of potential & lots of character.

“Worth a visit!!”
Reviewed 23 April 2012 via mobile

This lovely country pub is well worth a visit. The young couple that run it are friendly and very accommodating. Live music nights like the one we went to Saturday are great fun. The big bonus being that they have just reduced all their beer prices and you can now get a pint of real ale for as little as £2.70!!
