Lovely place in the Cotswolds - hotel is a in an old Mill and has some lovely features like the mill wheels enclosed in glass panels and the features of the mill have been kept a within the accommodation buildings. The hotel staff were all excellent and gave excellent service in the reception, bar and restaurant. The evening meals we ate were well presented and we really enjoyed them. Breakfast was excellent too with plenty of choice and quality. It is palace we would visit again.

My boyfriend and I had a lovely time at Egypt Mill, room was spacious & clean and the grounds/setting was lovely - very cosy!
We had a drink outside which was lovely overlooking the beautiful setting of the water. There was an outdoor fire to keep you warm tool! Great idea!!

Would definitely return however a few little things need tweaking to make it perfect!
The restaurant was cosy, but slow service! My boyfriend had to get us a bottle of wine from the bar as we waited over 15minutes! Dinner was lovely, so they redeemed them-self until no one reappeared about dessert or coffee so we just left. Woken at 7am by the fire alarm, there went our lie-in! Breakfast was very nice, eggs Benedict was cooked perfectly...but again the staff were all pottering around but I felt they needed set tables to serve, no consistency!

All in all though a lovely stay & a good little find! Would definitely recommend & return!!

This old mill is wonderful the interiors have kept the old world charm with the waterwheel turning and the old workings displayed around the cosy bar, outside every thing revolves around the old
millpond ,fantastic hanging baskets and shrubbery decorate this tranquil area with just an odd quack from the resident duck family.
We were fortunate to stop in July when the weather was glorious and enjoyed some very pleasant evenings eating from the varied menu which has a reasonable choice and was always nicely presented,if the evening got a bit chilly you can always take shelter in the Ironworks a covered veranda with a huge wood burning fire .
Have to say beyond the beauty and charm of the place the outstanding feature for us was the staff ,they are fantastic everyone has a smile there is nothing too much trouble.
We will defininitely be going back.

Room Tip: ask for a quiet room as there is a lot of wedding activity and some rooms are affected by the functi...

We stayed here in June as we were attending a Charity Ball which was being held at the Hotel. I have to say from the minute we entered I was impressed. The Hotel has kept the old world charm but it has all the mod cons. The food was excellent ...if I'm picky the evening sea bass portion was a little on the small side but all cooked beautifully. We had sandwiches and drinks on the terrace overlooking the pond in the afternoon and it was a pleasure to sit and enjoy the sunshine. Our room was in the main hotel and it was a really good size with the beamed ceiling. We found a fan in the wardrobe which was a Godsend as it was such a hot night. The main road runs alongside and on room level which could be a little noisy but didn't actually disturb us. Breakfast was excellent and all the staff were helpful and friendly. I would definitely return.

Room Tip: The rooms overlooking the mill pond seem to be much bigger as they are into the roof.

We got married here last year, and promised we would come back for our first anniversary.
If you want a good deal, look on the website and book on line using the "best available price" deal - you get a really good deal... (check your bill when you check out though - the system doesn't cope well with the deal)
When we arrived the receptionist told us we had been upgraded to a better room as it was our anniversary - spacious room, huge bed, smart modern shower, very clean
the only downside was the creaky floorboards in the room above us
there's no traffic noise at all, even though the main road is close by.
The food was just as amazing as we remembered it from last year, and the full English breakfast really does fill the plate... I didn't need anything else to eat until the evening
Service was fast and friendly

We'll be back next year, and hopefully the weather will be better!!!

Room Tip: If you're in the pink house as for a room upstairs... don't worry about traffic noise

I stayed here for work and couldn't believe how good the place looked - the location is an absolute dream. As a lone woman it was a little hard in the dining room as it is full of couples having a romantic dinner, but that's why I travel with my kindle! The food was lovely as were the rooms - I would happily use it again, but with hubby next time!

Absolutly beautiful location and a joy to eat alfresco in the summer. Despite amost being off a busy main road it is tranquil and the road noise silenced by the water mill. Food must be ordered at the bar inside and paid for in advance but service on the many occassions we have visited has always been to a high standard. The food, much of it locally sourced is also of a high quality. For this reason I will continue for return visits. This review is for the restaurant only as we live quite close to the Hotel. Having said that we have a number of friends that stay here when visiting the area and they have all been delighted with the rooms and value.
