The hotel location is good, food is good in the hotel bar/resturant and some local resturent too. The major problem is, there is a church close by and the bells goe off evry 1/4 hours. and rund late night too. if you want a quite night than this hotel is not for you

The location in the centre of the town was ideal. We were upgraded to an executive room which was luxurious. There was plenty of choice for breakfast and dinner. All the staff were friendly and efficient.

    Dear Bernice B

Thank you for your lovely 5 star comments about your recent stay with us.

We pride ourselves on the excellent service given to our guests and I’m glad you thought the choice for breakfast and dinner were good too.

It’s great that our newly refurbished Executive & Superior rooms have gone down so well, with all featuring luxurious furnishings, full SKY channels and the complimentary home-made chocolates, shortbreads and apples provided in the room too, and I hope you are able to return to us again soon.

Thanks again for taking the time to pass on your nice comments.

    Best Regards

The occasion was my elderly Aunts birthday lunch and even though we had limited expectations, we still left feeling a little disappointed.
Our table was in the conservatory and this made for quite a pleasant dining environment. The welcome was ok and we were lead to our table.
Having ordered starters and mains for my wife and I and just a main for our Aunt who has a smaller appetite , and requested that our Aunts main be served at the same time as our starters as she eats fairly slowly we awaited our meals.
Our starters were ok(with the exception of a particularly ill judged and overpowering onion marmalade served with the smoked salmon) and our Aunts roast Lamb was apparently ok too.
It was at this point that the cracks started to show.
It seems that the serving staff were waiting for us all to finish before bringing our mains and had to be reminded that we were still waiting.
When they arrived our mains were ok, nothing special but still ok.
All in all an underwhelming dining experience and a fairly uninspiring wine list to go with it.
Inexpensive but nothing to write home about.

    Dear Simon C

Thank you for your recent comments.
I am sorry that you did not enjoy your visit to the Bistro for your aunt’s Birthday recently.
Our staff must not have realised that they should bring your main courses out whilst your aunt was still eating her meal, and I’m sorry if that spoilt the occasion for you.
We work hard to produce the menu’s and wine lists to suit most people’s tastes and they generally receive good reviews.
However, I hope you may still wish to return to visit the extended and refurbished Bistro once the work is completed around Easter 2015 to see if our improvements fit your expectations better, but thank you for your feedback anyway.

Taking up an Amazon Local offer, we went to this hotel for two nights. Located right in the centre of the town it was obviously very old in some parts. We had a room in the older part, and the decor was very faded, the shower was little more than a dribble and the toilet didn't flush very well. However, the food was excellent (had 2 breakfasts and 2 dinners) and the staff superb, helpful and very courteous. Would go again,

    Dear 927Gail_E

Thank you for your nice comments.
I am so glad that you enjoyed the food during your visit and found the staff to be excellent.
Many of our bedrooms and some public areas have already undergone refurbishment during 2014, and the remaining standard rooms in the older parts of the property are due for renovation in 2015 along with the Bistro and Swans Restaurant area. I am sure that when you return next year, you will notice these further improvements and look forward to welcoming you back.

Thanks again for the feedback that I will share with the team.

We stayed just the one night on route home and booked dinner. The room was an Executive and well worth the small extra charge. There was quite an extensive menu and daily menu also. The waitress who served us our dinner had only been there a short time but was really good and what she couldn't answer she found out for us. Breakfast was also good. The hotel is a Best Western which was why we chose it and situated in the centre of Market Harborough with ample parking. There was very pleasant outdoor seating in a type of large courtyard where we finished our bottle of wine.

Room Tip: Our executive room was at the back of the hotel and very quiet with a Juliet balcony, sky tv and modern bath/shower room
