Spotlessly clean and had everything we needed plus more
Lovely big walk in shower and comfortable beds
For us it was just what we wanted, really quiet and peaceful, lovely setting
Owners were very nice and left us alone but when I phoned to say the DVD wasn't working Sarah brought a replacement within half an hour, now that's what I call service
We will definitely go back
Lovely accommodation in a peacefully setting away from it all. Lovely comfy beds, everything you need for a pleasant stay and the cake waiting for us was delicious! Will be using again as a great base for seeing family.
I have just stayed at this lovely converted barn with my sister and elderly parents. It is set in farmland after a short drive off road on a track. The setting is really peaceful. The barn itself is very well equipped, clean and comfortable. It is accessible for people who have limited mobility and has a wet room which helps too, although added rails on the wall in the wet room and a seat in the shower would be of further benefit.
The owner, Sarah, is very friendly and accommodating and the complimentary scones on arrival were a very nice touch.
Directions to the property were good until the final part, where a sign we were looking out for was missing.

Very peaceful, isolated location at the edge of a field of rape seed. We found the accommodation comfortable and furnished and equipped to a very high standard that made it a perfect base for us to visit our grandchildren in nearby Narborough.
Could have done with a bit more storage space for our food supplies and our son found the ceiling height and space in the second bedroom and adjoining facilities challenging - but he is tall. Property is south facing and very warm on sunny days.
We spent a lovely week at The Victorian Barn. It is very well equipped and tastefully decorated and the extra touches from the owner were much appreciated (cakes on arrival, milk in the fridge and a huge box of lego for the children to play with). The barn is set in the heart of the countryside in the middle of fields but Market Harborough is easily accessible and there is lots to do in the area. Our children loved being outside exploring and hunting out the local wildlife. We used it as a base to visit family and friends in the area and hope to come back again in the future.
Really enjoyed our short stay. I thought the photos online didn't do the property justice. What you don't really see in the photos is that the barn is literally in the middle of the farm, so it's a lovely peaceful location.
The kitchen is well-equipped and it was nice to even have an apron. We were more or less able to cook as we do at home because everything's still pretty new and in good condition and I felt that the owners had made an effort to think of everything you'd need in the kitchen
It's perfect for a family, but only good for couples if you would be happy to share the main bathroom. The upstairs en-suite has a toilet and a very small sink.
We were able to let our toddler roam freely as soon as we got out of the car, which he loved. There was a large box of duplo and he was happy playing with that throughout our three-day stay. (We just weeded out the odd thing that wasn't yet suitable for him.)
And we all enjoyed the scones that Sarah had left for us. The small carton of fresh milk was appreciated too.
