It was the hottest day of the year and the staff kept smiling. We had a party of 30 in the upstairs function room with a sit down meal. Everyone said how lovely the food was and the staff were very helpful. Everything went well and we had a great time.

My wife and I ate lunch here today for the first time. Located just off the A6 and right on the canal side wharf with about 12 narrow boats moored up outside. There were also tables and chairs situated outside, but we wanted to sit inside to see what it was like, as we may return for an evening meal sometime. We arrived about 1.30pm and opted for the 2 courses for £9.99 menu.
I had battered cod and chips and my wife had the quiche salad, followed by sticky toffee pudding x 2.There are approximately12 tables inside downstairs and half of them were occupied, mainly by older and retired couples. As they cook everything to order, we had to wait about 40 minutes for the main meals, which was quite acceptable as we must have just hit the lunchtime rush and we were in no hurry anyway. We had 2 latte coffees and 2 non alcoholic drinks and the whole bill came to £27. The service was really good and the staff very polite I'm a wheelchair user and there was easy access fom the road side of the building. They also have a disabled toilet available.
We left about 3pm and we both enjoyed our meals and would definitely return and recommend. The Waterside.
