At very short notice I booked a business seminar/workshop I was organising at the end of March into The Granary, which is a recently converted listed building, and I couldn't have made a better choice of venue.

The Granary had all the facilities needed to run the event well (projection/screen, free car parking etc) with the added bonus of great ambience and atmosphere provided by the building itself. It also has level access making it easy to get display boards in and out of the building.

From my very first contact with Carol she couldn't have been more helpful - not only in terms of setting up the event, making sure we had everything that we needed and sourcing high quality refreshments and lunch for us from a nearby farm shop, Abbey Farm, which was not only excellent but used local produce - a nice touch. Having confidence in her meant that there was one less thing for me to think about - which made the organisation of the event so much easier.

So if you are looking for a venue for meetings or seminars that is a little bit different with great character and you want to be looked after - then this is the place to go.

Spent Feb half term in Stables and Beeches (there were 8 of us and Nellie the dog ). Absolutely gorgeous from the enormous beds in the Stables to the bathrooms with under floor heating to the wood burner. T.Vs in every room in Stables so could lie in bed in morning watching the news !
The pub across the level crossing - The Wheatsheaf - does excellent pub food . Pie, curry, chilli, ham and eggs etc for good price and good real ale ( Sharps Doom Bar - v nice ) and lovely owners and staff.
Elms Farm Cottages are ideal for disabled. 2 of our party are full time wheelchair users and had no problems whatsoever with the 2 wet rooms. We will definitely be returning

Room Tip: The Stables appears to be the best there - sleeps 6 in 2 huge doubles and a twin

Just back home after spending Christmas in Oak Cottage. The cottage was superb, excellently equipped with all that you would nee for an enjoyable stay. oak is large, nicely furnished and very comfortable. The kitchen was great and we had no problem cooking our Christmas dinner - carol the owner had thought of everything including providing a turkey roasting tray.
The cottage was decorated for Christmas - it was lovely to arrive early evening, open the door and have a Christmas tree with fairy lights twinkling to greet us.
There is a great field in which to walk your dog - and a pond which my dog who loves to get wet insisted upon paddling in.
We ate at The Wheatsheaf pub on our first evening where we had a very nice meal at a reasonable price served by friendly staff.

Overall I can't rate Elms Farm Cottages highly enough. Carol undersells the cottages on her website.

I cannot recommend Elms Farm Cottages highly enough. Nine of us stayed in The Stables and Elm Cottage in November 2013. The cottages are beautiful, very comfortable and have everything you could possibly need. I'd spent a long time searching for accessible accommodation as my Dad is disabled. Elm Cottage suited his needs perfectly. We had a big gathering in The Stables and again everything was perfect for Dad. I wouldn't hesitate in visiting again, and indeed I hope we will have another family trip there soon.

Enjoyed a laid back relaxing stay at Elms Farm Cottages, two adults and our two teenagers stayed for a week in Elm cottage, very spacious throughout and very well equipped.
We enjoyed two great days out in opposite directions of the Elms , Lincoln was just beautiful and skegness was enjoyable as even the weather was kind to us and we managed a dip in the sea.
On our arrival we were greeted by Carol who was very nice showed us the nessasary things within the cottage and then left us be .
The Boston sausages, milk , butter, plum loaf, buns ,marmalade, tea, coffee ect were a welcome sight after our long journey, and a standard for people staying a week or more.
Tesco and asda are not far at all a matter of minutes in the car and easy enough to find.
Loved the place , so lucky with the weather to , although we did find it to warm in the rooms at night ( we are use to having fans at home) and bar a serrated knife or two of which I couldnt find one no bad comments from us :)
Thank you for a wonderful stay.
