“High spec, home from home”
Reviewed 26 April 2018 for a stay in April 2018

We really enjoyed our stay in The Barn on the Grimblethorpe estate. We are often disappointed by the quality of dog friendly accommodation but not in this case - the Barn is high spec accommodation, very tasteful, modern and a really comfortable home from home - we couldn't fault it. The owners are very friendly - Andy in particular called round to offer to show my son the animals one evening which was really sweet an much appreciated. I also have to say thanks to Andy for posting back some items we accidentally left behind - a big ask when there is no local Post office. We can definitely recommend the Grimblethorpe Hall cottages (oh and I loved the Plumb bread in the welcome pack, thankyou!).

Most kind - thank you. All part of the service here at Grimblethorpe Hall. We do try to go the extra mile for our guests.

We do have a very nice couple who run the Post Office in the next village - Doddington on Bain approx 4 miles away !

Please spread the word about our Cottages !

We look forward to seeing you soon.

Best Wishes

Andy and Nicola

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience. We loved having you and the children, it’s always great to have young ones visit, especially when they want to see what we have to offer on the farm. We would love to welcome you all again in the future as The are has so much to offer.
Thank you again,
Nicola and Andy

“The most amazing holiday cottage”
Reviewed 12 August 2017 for a stay in August 2017

Thank you, thank you for such a lovely holiday stay. We arrived after a long drive to find our wonderful accommodation ready with milk, tea, coffee and treats. The Barn was exceptionally clean and tidy and had everything in it we could need for our weeks stay. Both bedrooms were so big (photos do not do them justice) we felt as if we were in a hotel! Our children loved the garden and especially the private garden which they claimed as their own. The location was so peaceful we really felt we'd got away from it all.The walks from the cottage door were lovely and one of the highlights of our stay was to walk to the pigs each morning to say hello. Thank you to Andy who allowed our children to accompany him to feed the pigs and answered all their questions with great patience. We loved staying here and would recommend Grimblethorpe Hall to everyone.

“Totally sa. It is well equipped, Ittisfied”
Reviewed 28 November 2016 for a stay in September 2016

We have enjoyed many happy "rest cures" at Grimblethorpe over recent years and are hard pressed to make any negative comments. We were a little apprehensive when Andy and Nicola, the new owners, took over, but the only changes to this delightful cottage have been foe the better It is well equipped, comfy, and has its own rustic charm... The parking area, being under cover, helps in any poor weather (not often!) and the Barn offers all we need for a total relax. Good walks for our two Labs, some from the door, and good shopping not too far away when required. And we found Andy and Sue to be most welcoming and helpful, with kind "goodies" to make that all-important difference. We aim to continue our pilgrimages whenever we can. .
