We visit often because it's great food, friendly staff, covered AND heated smoking area and dogs are allowed in the garden :)

“Still as good”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 November 2013

We visited mablethorpe for the weekend and decided to return to the Splash for our evening meal.It had ben raining and we were concerned about the ford but all was well. The food was excellent as usual, service was good, atmosphere and surroundings in the conservatory was great.
We were pleased we had returned to The Splash again and hope to return in the near future.

“Nice, but dated”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 November 2013 via mobile

The pub is in lovely surroundings and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Sadly this hotel & pub is getting pretty dated now - the combination of chintzy carpets, pale green bedding and new kids on the block at breakfast put it squarely in the 90's! A shame as the surroundings are gorgeous and the venue has a four star rating. It's definitely a solid 3, but needs a refresh to be deserving of it's 4 for me.

“Good mix”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 November 2013

It is tricky finding a pub in the Lincolnshire Wolds that consistently gives you good beer, good food and a decent ambience. Many pubs will give you two of these three elements. For this reason the pub is popular, so very busy at weekends - best visited on a winter's evening, midweek, or a bright Summer's day. Always a good choice of reasonably priced food. Staff always very pleasant, and a good range of well kept beers. We always fall back on this pub, when we have found others wanting. I can understand 'Angry of Lincolnshire's upset, because I have been there for a Sunday lunch, once - never again.
