“Wonderful wedding”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 October 2013 for a stay in September 2013

We stopped at red kite on the last weekend in September as my daughter was getting married at the hotel. They must have been blessed. The weather was beautiful. The lodge was spotless and we wanted for nothing. Set in glorious woodland and so peaceful. The only thing i'd say is if you know people staying in the hotel make your arrangements well before as i could'nt get a signal all weekend on my mobile

“Great holiday had by all”

We had a fantastic week staying at Red Kite Lodge, it's very well equipped, clean & was the perfect size for 4 adults and 2 children.

Booking was really easy and Ann provided us with all the information we needed to plan a great week away :)

We didn't have much luck with the weather so the passes to the leisure centre were fantastic and our 3 & 5 year old loved the pool with the pirate ship!

We can't wait to go back!!

“Idyllic setting”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 May 2013 for a stay in May 2013

We stayed in Red Kite Cabin for the weekend of my sisters wedding at the Kenwich Hotel. The setting of the cabin was idyllic, we woke to sound of bird song. The cabin itself was very well furnished and spacious. We were very lucky with the weather so ate breakfast on veranda each morning. We would definitely stay again and recommend the cabin to others. Thanks Ann for all your help.

“Very comfortable property in peaceful location.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 April 2013 for a stay in March 2013

We spent a very enjoyable break here during some of the coldest weather of the winter but despite the snow and biting wind we were very warm and cosy at Red Kite Lodge which has a very good heating system. It was very spacious for 4 of us with all the equipment we could have wanted and very comfortable beds. The owner responded very quickly to all my enquiries and the booking system was fast and efficient. Previous guests had benefitted from use of the pool and sauna at the nearby hotel but free access to the local swimming pool at Louth was a less attractive proposition, especially during the school holidays. Many of the tourist attractions hadn't opened for the holiday season but we used some of the many guides provided at the property to go on self-guided walks around Louth and also visited Lincoln. All in all Red Kite Lodge is a comfortable and well equipped property in a peaceful country location. I would recommend it for a relaxing break.

“Great New Year!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 January 2013 for a stay in December 2012

We stayed in the lodge over New Year this year for 4 nights. There were 9 of us all together, 6 adults and 3 children (one really small). We all had a smashing time. The lodge is lovely and well equipt, the beds are very comfortable! It is well layed out and there are plenty of pots, pans, crockery and most importantly wine glasses!
It is a bit of a walk up to the hotel to use the facilities (but bare in mind we were with kids) however, once there the pool is lovely. The staff in the hotel are most obliging too.
Louth is a nice little town, but the pub we visited most was the nearby Royal Oak, nicknamed the Splash - we did walk there and back one day, so it is possible. The food there is lovely and it has plenty of character.
A great place to spend time with a group of good friends!!

“Home from home luxury, highly recommended”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 November 2011 for a stay in October 2011

My husband, 2 year ol and I enjoyed a 10 night stay in the lodge in early October. The lodge was perfect in every way and was fully equipped with everything one would need for a self catering holiday. Situated in a very relaxing, wooded, environment and within easy reach to Louth, Lincoln and small villages with great pubs/restaurants we will definitely return in the future!

“Our stay at Woodland lodge was relaxing, luxurious and fun!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 October 2011 for a stay in May 2011

We stayed at the Woodland Lodge for 3 nights, with my mum, aunty, mother inlaw and friend - and we all had a lovely time. The lodge was very luxurious, it catered for every need you could want for. The kitchen was clean and well equipped with good quality appliances, all 3 of the bedrooms and bathrooms were comfortably furnished and also very clean.
The reason for our stay was a getaway to relax before my wedding with some close family members & friend. We stayed in and had drinks on the decking, then during the day we went to the spa where some of us swam/used the jacuzzi/sauna/steam room, or had some treatments at the beauty salon. We all loved that we had free unrestricted access to the spa - was a real treat for us.
One night we went into the nearest town (cant remember the name of it now) and went to a couple of pubs, there was a lot of night life, and we saw a few restaurants which we would have gone to had we not a lovely place for eating at the lodge! We ate in on both nights.
I must say that me and my friend Sarah absolutely loved the master bedroom (which we stayed in),with the ensuite and the french doors that led to a veranda - it was very well set out, lovely luxurious furniture and bedding and very clean throughout. We didnt want to leave!
I have reccomended this lodge to friends and family, and would definitely stay again. There is a golf course that I can imagine my hubby would enjoy too! And lots of sports for him to partake in. There does seem to be a range of activites there and would be others a short drive away too. Next time I would like to stay longer, and would reccomend staying for a week if you can.
Thank you Ann :)
x
