Arrived on a busy Saturday afternoon, we checked in with no palaver, for our two night stay. Our room was clean, modern and comfortable, with tea/coffee making facilities, and lovely biscuits, which were replaced for us when we ate them all. The Kings Head is well situated in the centre of a busy market town. We were surprised to see a large car park to the rear. There are plenty of restaurants, pubs, takeaways and shops in walking distance. You can even bring a takeaway back to hotel with you, as plates and cutlery are provided for this purpose in the breakfast room. We had the continental breakfast, which is ample. Cereals, yoghurts, toast, croissants, fruit, tea, coffee, was all included in the room price. You can have a full English for a small supplement too.
This place is perfect for us. We felt very welcome, and will definitely return.

After our last visit in Feb we headed down for another long weekend and again stayed in the self catering flat. Again we found it to be in excellent condition. Having two young kids with us this is an ideal option for us and an excellent location. Louth it's self is a very good market down and very busy with some excellent shops. If you need somewhere that is central and good value then this is the place for you.

Quickly shown to a spacious bright clean room with all mod cons and big ensuite. I was travelling on a motorcycle so the private car park at the back was a bonus and the toiletries provided substituted my meagre rations that I was able to carry. Sharon is in charge and made booking easy and with the friendly chat added made my stay a pleasure. The Hotel is central in Louth with all manner of places to eat and wander round just a few minutes walk away. I was in a room at the back which was quiet and I slept soundly. All in all a lovely place for the two nights I had in Louth.

Just got back from a two night stay at this hotel. We couldn't of been looked after any better. Lovely friendly staff, really clean rooms and a mean cooked breakie!

We were in Louth for a friends wedding, on the Fri night we went out for a meal and Louth isn't short of restaurants. We had a lovely meal in a restaurant called Istanbul. On the Saturday night after the wedding we fancied another drink so found a club called Samuels that was open until 3am.

Can't really comment much more on the area as we didn't have a chance to go and explore.

We headed down to Louth with my father in law who is from Louth originally to meet some of his family, who my wife had never meet in her 36yrs of being alive! We booked the flat at the hotel which could not have turned out better! It allowed us to meet his family with no pressure of the kids needing to be out the bars, or for them to be quiet etc. The flat we excellent and was more than suitable for all six of us. The breakfast provided was great, only thing missing was a microwave but hey ho.

I will certainly be booking again for another visit due to it being so good. Once we were shown to the flat we had little contact with the hotel but the few issues we had, heating and mirrors, the staff resolved the issues without hesitation and very quickly.

When our visitors came round the staff were great and showed them up to the flat and never moaned once as there were a few visitiors!!

A big thank to the hotel and staff.

We stayed in Room 6. An excellent room but the venetian blinds did not keep the light from glaring through into the room. The addition of curtains would have made our stay perfect, as the room and customer service was first class.

We went to a friends 60th at this hotel, in their function room. The room was lovely and decorated to a very high standard, from the luxurious red leather settees to the well appointed and well stocked bar. The staff were very welcoming and their smiling faces were pleasant to see, nothing was too much, from getting more milk for the teas and coffees to getting a knife for cutting the cake. The food was very tasty, well presented and plenty of it. The landlady was very attentive and made sure that everything went well. I would really recommend this hotel to stay in, and somewhere to hold any function.
