“Sunday Carvery - OK-ish!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 April 2014

My wife and I have visited the Wagon and Horses on several occasions with our daughter(s) and friends and had very good food in a relaxed and welcoming setting.

This was the first time we had a Sunday carvery - the food was satisfactory to good, indeed enjoyed by the three of us but, unlike other days, there was no choice apart from the three roasts and a vegetarian option. On previous occasions we have really enjoyed a greater variety of dishes and then we were able to have fish, a salad or salad side-dish. The servings were generous.

Despite the numbers here at the beginning of the Easter holidays, the service was good and staff friendly and helpful.

Overall a pleasant experience, but a shade disappointing......

“Not a great day”

Like a previous reviewer was in on Mother's day. Didn't enjoy the experience or the roast. Far better options nearby.

Went for a family meal at lunchtime and enjoyed good beer helpful staff and a warm and welcoming environment. Couldn't fault it. Will definitely go many more times if this is the norm. Thank you.

Poor services and bad manners from staff, Food would be better from KFC.
