Where does one start ? There are not enough adjectives to describe the experience. It is the second time my partner and I have been to the Priory for the taster menu and the anticipation of driving there not knowing what we are going to be served, only adds to the enjoyment. Paul did not disappoint and as it was my partner's birthday he baked her a cake (which we had to take home as we were totally full). The customer service is absolutely second to none and a unique experience they cannot do enough for you and I applaud Paul for employing some of the staff from Linkage as not only is it a worthwhile cause they really do add to the experience. Wonderful night, wonderful staff. I can't wait until we go again !!!!!

It is tough to know where to start to explain how perfect and amazing our whole wedding weekend was, the memories will stay with us forever. From our first meeting with Paul he made the wedding planning stress free full of excitement and individually unique to ourselves, we wanted our special day to flow seamlessly ensuring all had a good time and Paul Chloe and the team pulled out all the stops to make this happen. The 7 course taster menu exceeded all expectations incorporating personal past foodie experiences from our early dating days!, guests are still raving about the amazing originality of our chocolate room - a treasure trove of goodies even Willy Wonker would be astounded by, and all made by Paul. Followed by a individually selected array of cheeses beyond anything our guests had experienced before. The hotel itself and grounds were the most beautiful setting vintage chic meets fairy tale castle, producing the most amazing photographs and comfort for guests. Forget factory processed weddings, Paul has a passion for his work and creativity which is inspirational and all our guests have expressed what a unbelievably unique memorable day the 12/4/2014 was. A big thank you to Paul,Chloe Daniel and the team xx

I have decided to review the restaurant and hotel separately as there is so much I can say.
Let's start with the hotel, the initial entrance is rather understated but that truly does become part of the charm when you take a walk into the stunning grounds and see how majestic the building truly is, the inside decor fits wonderfully and is very warm and welcoming.
Now the best part of our stay would definitely have to be the level of service we received, right from the start. (For abit of background it was fiancées birthday treat) I had initially requested a specific room which was not available sadly, however when we arrived they said that they had had guests leave earlier than expected and were able to upgrade us which was a fantastic start of things to come.
All the staff were very friendly and chatty, and couldn't do more for us if we asked (which we didn't need to) After our amazing evening meal Paul the chef/owner offered to make us breakfast in bed as a birthday treat, which we were truly grateful for as it was so unexpected! I would also like to add how upon after a discussion during the meal on a mutual love of cheese, a plate of local cheese was brought out to us whilst we relaxed by the candle lit fireplace in the most gorgeous distressed leather wingback chairs I have ever seen (a personal love of mine) the small unexpected touches really amazed us.
Even without the level customer service received I would rate this hotel/restaurant 5stars, but all things considered it has been one of the best trips we have ever experienced.
That's why I have had to write two reviews so I can award them 10stars in total.
Thank you very much for a wonderful time!

My fiancé booked a night here and on first impressions...from the entrance didn't have highly hopes...however, everything from customer service to food was AMAZING felt like we got VIP treatment...got upgraded because some people who stayed left early...they didn't need to but went that extra mile anyway...and this continued throughout our stay...lighting a candle in one of the public rooms we said we were planning on sitting...and because my fiancé mentioned it was my birthday night...they offered to make us breakfast in bed! :) so very thoughtful...a very friendly small team but each...particularly the chef, made time to talk to us! In my eyes...good customer relationships goes a long way! :)... In hindsight, the appearance only adds charecter to a truly beautiful homely building :) thank you so much for a lovely experience and birthday! :) xx

I'm not going to go on about the really interesting Gothic building and the lovely grounds. We have stayed here before and last time our only food experience was the excellent breakfast each morning. This time however, we had booked our place for the 7 course 'experience'. WOW - what an experience - If you stay here, you've just got to do it. Each 'course' is more of a taster, but there are so many of them that's a good thing. The combination of excellently prepared food, each presented in combinations we never would of thought of trying made for definitely the best night of our stay. If you're not staying at the Priory then you've just got to go there for the food. The enthusiasm of the staff is unbelievable and we felt like we had been staying with friends.

We first read about the Priory Hotel in a recent food critic in the Lincolnshire Journal.....and having seen the marvellous reviews on Trip Advisor.. we promptly booked a night in the Honeymoon room and a seven course taster menu for our 21st Wedding Anniversary.
From the first meeting with owner/chef Paul he made us feel very relaxed and welcome...it is clear to see his passion for food and ensuring his customers have an excellent stay. The Hotel is quirky and unusual with loads of character. The Taster menu is FANTASTIC and I would highly recommend people try this place. Excellent locally produce lovingly prepared and presented by Paul and his small gang of loyal staff. We absolutely loved this place and will be returning very soon for more excellent cuisine from Paul. Thank you so very much Paul to you and your staff, for making our Anniversary truly memorable.

Stayed here for one night, what a great surprise this was - really old building with original features - loved this place! My only fault with this hotel would be the side of the building that you first see does not do this place justice - it looks quite run down from the outside but when you walk into the gardens and see the building for what it is - what a surprise! Room was small but really comfortable and lovely en-suite bathroom.

The Manager was not around and the young lady who had been left in charge did a fantastic job, she was absolutely lovely and the Manager should be extremely proud of her. Although it was quite funny to order a full English but not have any eggs as they didn't have any - and the table service in the morning (done by a young man) left a little bit of a sour note but that was because the very helpful Receptionist was usually the waitress who on this morning was also the chef so this can be forgiven.

But all in all - would recommend this hotel and will definitely be back. Well done again to the lovely young lady - excellent job!

Sorry for the delay in responding but it's been a period of change. A huge thank you for your review and especially for acknowledging Rosey's efforts. We might not be big enough to have full time staff yet but I am very grateful to have a small team who really throw there hearts into what we do. I really do hope we can welcome you back!
