We used to frequent this pub for Sunday Lunch some years ago at the height of it's popularity, that is until it changed hands and 'went off' as these establishments tend to do. I am delighted to report though, after visiting yesterday (27th October) and recently changing ownership again it has returned to it's former glory, if not better.
We opted for the Sunday roast, which was served piping hot and plentiful, albeit after a little wait but well worth it. We were not rushed at all, staff were very pleasant and obviously still 'getting into swing' of their new venture.
I can highly recommend the garlic mushroom starter which is served quite different to the boring versions you often can get with this choice. Roast beef was tasty, succulent and again, plentiful. We will definitely be returning.
