The menu was short which I always think is a good sign. Prawn cocktails very ordinary but tasted OK,. Mushrooms on bruschetta also tasty. Lamb shank was cooked but the meat did not fall off the bone as I think it should, poussin had the elastic truss band left on it - all very difficult for elderly people in their late eighties. The vegetarian pasta dish was good but the accompanying salad poor - no dressing! Chocolates in hessian bags a nice touch. The waitresses though pleasant need training - a knife dropped down my back and no apology not impressive! Will not be returning despite their "Best pub in Louth" 2014 award. Shame I had high hopes.
