“One of the best kept secrets of the Dales”
Reviewed 27 June 2014

Stumbled across this hidden gem whilst staying near Middleham and was intrigued by the name; Forbidden Corner! Don't be mistaken - this isn't just for children - us 4 big kids (aged 25-29) had the most fantastic fun getting lost in the folly and hunting out all sorts of weird and wonderful things (with the help of a checklist given to us on entry). We explored all sorts of staircases, underground caves and gardens and was constantly caught off guard by the many special effects (surprise water jets seemed to be the order of the day!)

I would definitely recommend this for anybody visiting the dales as it is a fantastic day out for children and grown ups alike.

“How to please everyone!”
Reviewed 27 June 2014

The ages of our party of eight were from 3yr to 69yr and included two 10year olds. Everyone had a great time and all want to go back. So many intriguing twists, turns and tunnels and you never come out where you think you will. The "things to find " trail is excellent. The restaurant provides lovely food at reasonable prices. Thank you for a fantastic day out.

“So much Fun!!!”
Reviewed 24 June 2014

What a fun day! It was a trip for my 30th and I'm pretty sure I had more fun than any kids that were there :]
You can spend all day there looking at different nooks and crannies, so many things to spot - which is why you get a leaflet of things to find to make sure you don't miss too much.
It was lovely to have fun in a place adults are catered for as much as children.
Didn't try out the cafe but it looked nice and clean. I would definitely go back.

“50th Anniversary w/daughters and grandchildren”
Reviewed 24 June 2014

Grandchildren (5 - 15) led the way looking for hidden items and odd passageways. Loved the interaction between the three generations. Being from the US we would not have found this if the house in Masham we rented hadn't listed it on their website. We will definitely recommend this to all our friends visiting the area.
