Superb hosts Chris & Sarah cannot do enough for you.. Superb breakfast.. Beautifully decorated coloured themed rooms, everything you need from a sewing kit to fluffy robes, toiletries, and beverages. There was even a heat mat for my hair straighteners!
Sarah's cakes from the tea room toooooo delicious not to try!
Love staying here, and they take dogs too!!!
Perfect!

This was our second stay at the guest house this year. Chris and Sarah are both amazing hosts who go out of their way to make your stay a fantastic one. The rooms are fabulous and the bath in the castle room is the icing on the cake. So glad we found this dog friendly guest house in the beautiful setting of Middleham

Recently returned from a 2 night stay here, and I can only mirror the other comments regarding Chris & Sarah, they were amazingly friendly and helpful. From arriving they helped with where to eat, what to see etc. Our Room (BLUE) was spotlessly clean and very comfortable, lovely bath, and no expense spared with bedding and other luxuries, it really was brilliant. The Breakfast the next morning after a lovely sleep, was one of the best breakfasts I've had, the attention to detail is amazing. Overall I can not recommend the Priory high enough, and we will look forward to returning. The village is idyllic, and we had a lovely meal at the Black Bull. Just a lovely relaxing, Yorkshire break, and it was lovely to see so many villages out and about with the bunting and the Tour de France bikes. The Priory is just a gem.

Room Tip: I think all the rooms will be lovely, our room at the front was great to see the race horses early m...

We called into the Priory for a light lunch which was lovely. Sarah and Chris were so friendly and gave us a tour of the rooms. The facilities were gorgeous, so tastefully decorated. The location is is ideal in delightful village. When we return to the dales we will certainly book the Priory. Don't waste time looking else where book now!

What a great spot!! Loved Middleham and the Priory location is perfect - literally 50 yards from the castle. But what made the visit especially memorable was the hospitality! Chris and Sarah made our stay especially comfortable. We wish we could have stayed here longer!

We didnt stay in the guest house but rented the cottage at the back and have to say this is a is a little gem. The owners Sarah and Chris seem to go above and beyond to ensure their guest have a memorable holiday/experience, and as all the reviews below - nothing is too much trouble. With all the little extra touches with the home made welcome cake, lovely toiletries in the bathrooms, white fluffy dressing gowns, one would think you was in 5* accommodation.

Lovely personal touches, with everything (and more) you would ever need for a self catering week - we enjoyed staying in and cooking, it was a pleasure, plus we had use of their gas bbq - happy days and good times had by all.

Well and truly lovely .... thankyou sarah & chris

We stayed in the Priory Guesthouse for four nights following the Tour de France's Yorkshire Grand Depart, and couldn't have had a better time. It's a lovely looking house from outside and lives up to its looks inside too. Chris and Sarah are the perfect hosts, and our room was stunning. We had a view over the castle and each morning were treated to the sight of strings of racehorses making their way up to the gallops above the village. I can't think of anything that could have made our room better: there were lovely fluffy bathrobes, all the toiletries you could wish for, a hairdryer, and as well as a roomy shower there was a copper bathtub in one corner of the room itself, a great place to lie and recover after a day's walking. We got soaked by a heavy rainstorm one afternoon, and when we returned Sarah brought us a tray of tea and biscuits. She also offered to put our sodden walking trousers and socks through her washing machine, and then dried them off overnight. Chris cooks delicious breakfasts and we could have what we wanted (within reason of course!). Middleham is a small place where everyone seems to know everyone, and we found it very friendly.

Room Tip: Check when you book if you want a room from which you can see the racehorses each morning.
