“Sleepy and beautiful little cottage”
Reviewed 3 July 2014 for a stay in September 2013

Wonderfully appointed little cottage with loads of character! Perfectly suited for couples looking to get some R&R and quiet time together. The cottage is really well equipped and we really wanted for nothing while we were there.
The owners are absolutely brilliant and so helpful, really can't thank them enough! My only reservation is at the time we went the places to park were quite limited. But I think there were developments underway when we visited.
All in all scrupulously clean and very well maintained. I hope to visit again soon!!!

Management Response
11 Jul 2014
Thanks for your kind comments about Dunsley, and we look forward to welcoming you back. It is a rarity in Staithes, but we do have a private parking platform (opened in June 2014) which we offer free of charge to our guests. At the time of your visit, public parking was available at the Bank Top car park which has space for 118 cars; it is very unusual for it to be full, so apologies for any inconvenience you may have experienced.

“Perfect Bolt Hole”
Reviewed 2 July 2014 for a stay in June 2014

Dunsley won't disappoint. A beautiful quirky cottage that has been done up to a very high standard. Very comfortable, clean and well equipped cottage. Quiet location (if you discount the seagulls) in a very interesting and friendly village. Would definitely recommend. The private parking for Dunsley is an added bonus too.

“Lovely cottage in an amazing location”
Reviewed 30 June 2014 for a stay in June 2014

We spent a fantastic few days in this lovely cottage. It was all we hoped for. The accommodation was well decorated with lots of quirky touches. Staithes itself is a fantastic little fishing village with lots of character.
Judy was so helpful as we planned our holiday, nothing was too much trouble!
We have every intention to re-visit this fab little cottage.

“A delightful getaway”
Reviewed 19 May 2014 for a stay in May 2014

A charming, cosy, well appointed cottage. It had everything we needed for a fab week's stay. We loved Staithes. A sleepy seaside retreat away from the hustle and bustle. Recommend The Runcible Spoon in nearby Hinderwell for a delicious cooked breakfast. We enjoyed visits to Castle Howard and Saltburn by the Sea. Also a day out on the North York Moors Railway was great fun (we downloaded the North Yorkshire Moors Railway treasure trail from treasuretrails.co.uk before we went).

“The cutest cottage”
Reviewed 11 April 2014 for a stay in April 2014

Our fourth stay at Dunsley. The cottage is so cute. Everything is well thought out and spotlessly clean. We had super weather and did lots of spectacular coastal walking. It was always a pleasure to return to the cottage for a comfortable and relaxing evening in front of a real fire.

“March Stay in Dunsley Cottage - Staithes”
Reviewed 22 March 2014 for a stay in March 2014

Dunsley is a perfectly formed cosy cottage for two in the beautiful seaside town of Staithes which was a great base for visiting the surrounding coast and beyond into the Yorkshire moors.

Judy and Duncan's attention to detail before and during our visit was second to none with Duncan even making an emergency visit to fix the oven.

If you enjoy walking then the dramatic coastline at Staithes which forms part of the Cleveland Way and the nearby North Yorkshire National Park will not disappoint. With Dunsley being perfectly positioned within the town with two pubs within staggering distance plus a cosy fire in doors if you didn't feel like venturing outside.

Would we visit again? Most definitely yes.

“Holiday haven for couples”
Reviewed 18 February 2014 for a stay in February 2014

Wonderful holiday home on 3 floors, very tastefully decorated. Arrangements with owner were spot on and very detailed. Weather was awful but was fab to be able to come home and sit round a real fire and enjoy the comforts of the home.
Great location for walking and exploring the region-and most important 3minute walk to the pub which was very friendly and welcoming.
Can't fault anything about this place would recommend it and will return!
