I ahve stayed here on various occasions, generally for one night stopovers. The current owners have ownedthe hotelfor about 5 years. It is obvious that they are experienced hoteliers, and it is excellently run.Rooms are all modern and well presented. Chef is genuinely excellent, and all other staff are well presented, attentive and knowledgeable.
I never give a100% rating unless it is a 6* Dubai Hilton.I have only marked it down by one point from there because the WiFi is so dissapointingly weak and unreliable.

Will I stay there again.Oh Yes.

We spent the week before Christmas at this great hotel. We had a twin room overlooking the bay, quite large with a good sized bathroom and very comfortable beds. Unfortunately the weather was a bit wild that week so we didn't get the benefit of being able to have the windows open during the night to hear the sea !. The food choices at breakfast were plentiful and the cooked breakfast would set you up for the day. We had our evening meals at the hotel, again there was good choices and it was well cooked and presented. The hotel itself was clean and warm and well ran by the family, towels and bedding changed daily and the complimentary room drinks topped up, this also included the bottled water which was a nice touch.

We have stayed here twice and both times it's been great. We booked a double room with a sea view. The room was large and the bed a super king and very comfortable. Very clean and well mainained. Hotel is right on the sea so the view of the bay and over to Skye is stunning and peaceful. There is also a good view from the dining room, restaurant and the conservatory. Breakfast and dinner were well cooked and a good choice available. Staff were friendly and attentive. The only down side was that the water pressure was poor, a very small price to pay for a lovely stay in a lovely place very convenient for exploring Gairloch and surrounding area. The beach is a good place for a walk with the most sandy area to the south of the village heading towards the golf course. Great place for kids. Other nice walks in the surrounding area.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the front with sea view. The hotel sometimes host functions and rooms at the back...

We had a lovely twin loch facing room with a super ensuite .This room has been updated as we stayed in the same room four years ago and could not believe the improvement.Hopefully the ultra modern mirrors will be replaced!
The food is always very good with plenty of choice. The staff are very friendly and polite.
The hotel is in a lovely position and the lounge, dining room and bar all face the loch.Watching the sun go down is wonderful.
It is a family run hotel and I wish they had put information about the family in the rooms. It was as we left that we found out that the sons and their Mum run the kitchen.
We hope we will return within the next couple of years.

Room Tip: Ask for a Loch facing room which has been updated.

We had a lovely stay this summer. Clean room, good facilities. We had a perfect sunny lunch in the garden and a lovely dinner. Service is very good, very friendly and thoughtful. Location is very nice with excellent view of the bay. We had a nice trip to view dolphins and a good walk in the woods.

No matter when one visits Sean and the Crew @ The Myrtle the welcome, the ambience, the food and the service are consistently good - - top notch in fact. Was visiting this time on business and thoroughly enjoyed the short stay.

Room Tip: Request a room with a sea view if available. Looking straight "over the sea to Skye" from...

We stayed here for a couple of nights in mid-September, and received a very warm welcome from the friendly staff. We had a lovely sea view room which was spacious and comfortable, with a lovely clean shower room. The conservatory area at the front of the hotel is a lovely place to sit and relax with a drink, and take in the views. Unfortunately we didn't see any wildlife but family staying with us have seen dolphins regularly - hopefully next time we might be more lucky! Breakfast was really delicious - all cooked to order and very fresh. We ate dinner in the hotel both nights and enjoyed the variety of choices on the menu. Everything was delicious, and portions were very generous - almost too much though!
This is a great place to base yourself if touring the area, and we would definitely come back again in the future.

Room Tip: Definitely worth asking for a sea view
