“Home from Home”
Reviewed 11 October 2017 for a stay in October 2017

Very comfortable home from home. Lots of extras provided in the kitchen.
Good selection of games and we enjoyed learning how to play "Shut the box" and it may well be that some of our families will be receiving it as a Christmas Present!
Sadly, Dog walking from the front door was a challenge, nearest footpath lots of stiles and other footpath field with cows. However Carding Mill Valley only 5 minutes drive and fabulous walking.
Internet kept dropping in and out.
Owner very friendly and exceptionally helpful, very quick responses to any questions, even when she herself was on holiday. Thank You.

“Lovely cosy cottage, ideal base for all Shropshire has to offer”
Reviewed 4 September 2017 for a stay in August 2017

Great location for hiking the Stretton Hills and local trails. Close to Church Stretton for provisions. The local pubs provide excellent dining and a friendly atmosphere. The cottage is cosy, comfortable and very well equipped. We felt very 'at home' during our stay. The cottage is ideally located for visiting the sights of Shropshire, such as Shrewsbury, Ludlow, The Ironbridge Gorge etc. And even day trips to Wales. We had a wonderful time and we hope to go back again.

“Comfortable, well-equipped cottage”
Reviewed 1 June 2017 for a stay in May 2017

4 Quinney View is ideally located for exploring the Long Mynd - just a short drive from Little Stretton and Church Stretton. The cottage is comfortable, spacious (thanks to a sun trap conservatory) and spotlessly clean.

The owner has compiled a helpful folder of instructions for the house and recommendations for local places of interest, restaurants, pubs etc.

There is a good pub a stone's throw from the house, but be sure to book - it was jam packed both nights we were there (Fri and Sat).

Ideal for a peaceful, relaxing stay with the beautiful Shropshire hills on the doorstep.

“Extremely enjoyable house and ideal for walking Shrophire Hills.”
Reviewed 2 September 2016 for a stay in August 2016

The house was in a quiet area, and extremely well equipped for our holiday needs. It was placed in an ideal part of the Shropshire Hills, so we could walk in most directions from the door, without using the car.The house had the added bonus of a conservatory, which meant we were able to have breakfast in the morning sunshine. The house was amply warm on our return from our walking exertions.
The owner had thoughfully provided a wide range of interesting books to read and others to consult.
Overall, a totally enjoyable experience and the owner had contributed greatly to it. Highly recommended.

“A well provisioned cottage in a very pleasant location”
Reviewed 8 July 2016 for a stay in June 2016

We really enjoyed our stay at this very pleasant cottage. Unfortunately the weather wasn't that brilliant, but we didn't let it stop us going out! The cottage is very comfortable and in excellent condition throughout. If you like cooking, there's a very nice kitchen with everything you might need (and not just cheap things that you often get in holiday lets, but decent quality stuff, which helped make it feel more like home from home). And if you don't want to cook there are plenty of options for eating out - the Station Inn over the road is very welcoming and while the menu is a bit unadventurous, they do know how to cook a very good steak. And there are two pubs which serve good food in near by Little Stretton.

There's plenty of good walking nearby. Shropshire is a bit of an undiscovered gem really - nowhere near as busy as, say, the Peak or Lake District, but with some stunning scenery. I recommend the walk from the property up Minton Hill to the Long Mynd - up the lane by the level crossing to Minton village and then follow the bridleway and enjoy the view!

And the owners were happy to accept a well behaved dog, with the perfectly reasonable proviso (which any responsible dog owner would do anyway) of not letting them on the furniture and clearing any mess they might make in the garden.

Liked best: High standard of the cottage and everything that was provided.
Liked least: Having to pay a security deposit - it's relatively unusual to be asked for this nowadays in my experience. But I suppose I understand why the owners do it - and in fairness, they do say it won't be needed for any subsequent visits.

“Lovely cottage in fantastic location with great pub & restaurant opposite.”
Reviewed 3 May 2016 for a stay in April 2016

The cottage was really lovely with everything you could want provided.

The conservatory and garden are a real suntrap and their were beautiful walks pretty much straight outside the door.

The Station Inn which is opposite were very happy to allow us to park in their car park in addition to the car parking available outside the cottage. The pub and restaurant were excellent but did get busy so booking for meals is recommended.

We would definitely use this cottage again. Thank you for a great weekend.
