Highlands Bed and Breakfast

First-rate welcome with a mug of tea and a chat. Felt from the start that we were visiting old friends. Lovely room with fabulous views over the beautiful garden and the hills Breakfast was excellent - even got more than we ordered on day two! Had a tour of the other rooms before we left and all are decorated and equipped to a very high standard. Wouldn't hesitate to return or to recommend to others.

A truly excellent B&B.
Everything in the room was perfect and we loved the little extra touches - e.g. cotton buds in the bathroom and a dinky little fridge in the room to store fresh milk.
The view from the room over Long Mynd is lovely (this view is available from ALL rooms we believe). This area rivals the Peak District for natural beauty but that is a well-kept secret.
Lynn and Alan made us feel very welcome - we were soon chatting like old friends.
On our departure day we went on a lovely walk starting from their front door and they invited us back so we could shower before starting our onward journey. Such a kind thought.

Room Tip: All the bedrooms look lovely

Thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay - great accommodation, excellent breakfast and, above all, Lynn and Alan are such helpful and friendly hosts!

Having the Balcony Room proved to be 'the icing on the cake'.

We had such a nice stay last year it was a no brainer to pick Highlands again. We had the balcony room this time and there is just nothing to fault it.
You are welcomed on arrival and made to feel part of the family. The extra entertainment with wildlife is even laid on for free.
You may not be able to guess it but we will be back next year!

Room Tip: grab the balcony room if it's free

My partner and I stayed at this lovely B&B for the May Day bank holiday weekend. We chose the Balcony room, which offered lovely views across the hills, where you could sit out with a glass of wine, with the relaxing sound of sheep and lambs on the distant hillside (idyllic!). The room itself was very clean and offered all the facilities we needed to a high standard. The owners, Lynn and Alan were an extremely welcoming and hospitable couple who gave helpful advice on walks across the hills and even provided us with maps and directions. The full English breakfast was excellent and was served with a smile and good humour by our hosts. I’m not a keen hill walker, so won’t be rushing back, but my partner who is a keen hiker plans to return again soon and is already looking at dates with her friends, and will be looking no further than the Highlands for accommodation on her return to Church Stretton!

We stayed for two nights in the Magnolia room in May 2014. The room was clean, comfortable and spacious and had a great view of the Long Mynd.
Alan and Lynn were excellent hosts and looked after all our needs with great efficiency and warmth.

Everything was first class - the accommodation - the views and the hosts. Thoroughly recommend this beautiful house and garden. Nothing was too much trouble for our very friendly hosts. Shropshire is extremely scenic and perfect for walkers, cyclists of all abilities. The Highlands is a very convenient place to have as a base for exploring the area.

Room Tip: All rooms are excellent.
