“The Larches is perfection.”
Reviewed 18 May 2012 for a stay in May 2012

The Larches is perfection. I came to spend a few weeks writing a book and have just left, with great reluctance...The cabin itself is beautiful and superbly kitted out (special nod to the splendid shower, bed and fridge!) and the location up one of Church Stretton’s steep drives gives it a breathtaking view of the surrounding countryside. I was there to work so didn’t travel to nearby Ludlow or Shrewsbury but walked a lot locally before locking myself to the computer on the larger table Sara and Mark had kindly brought in for me. Sara and her family couldn’t have been more welcoming or helpful and all in all it was a wrench to leave this stunning spot. I will be back for sure.

“Lovely stay”
Reviewed 9 May 2012 for a stay in April 2012

We had a lovely stay at The Larches, everything was on hand. We were greeted by Sara on our arrival and shown around the accommodation. It rained all day on the Friday, Saturday was a lovely day and Sunday was a monsoon. However, we adapted and relaxed. Read and watched TV etc and had a great weekend. We can't say that we'd return as we now have a dog and this isn't a dog friendly accommodation. We would however, stay again if our circumstances changed. Thanks Dave and Rach.

“Great Way to Relax”
Reviewed 26 April 2012 for a stay in April 2012

We wanted somewhere quiet with lovely views, to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The Larches ticked all the boxes. Everything that has been said in the other reviews is all true and it's hard to find anything else to add. We have recommended it to all our friends and we would definitely return. Sara is a friendly and helpful host

“welcome home R and R”
Reviewed 18 March 2012 for a stay in February 2012

An idilic, perfect 3 night stay after collecting my boyfriend from Brize Norton (he was home for 2 weeks R and R after 5 months away on tour with the Army). His flight had been delayed and after feeling like i'd spent most of the day driving we were greeted by the lovely Sara and shown to the cosy welcoming cabin. It was everything i expected and more from the pictures and other reviews i had read. Every last detail has been thought of and Sara is obviously a customer service expert because not only was it exactly as described you cant help but feel instantly at home but also like you have privacy.
We left feeling like we could have done with staying longer so i'm sure we'll be back :-) xxx

“A fabulous 40th birthday relaxing getaway”
Reviewed 7 March 2012 for a stay in March 2012

A delightful log cabin set in beautiful surroundings with fantastic views. Very well equipped with everything you needed. The owners are very friendly and made us feel at home immediately. Perfect for those wanting a quiet relaxing break and also for those wanting to explore the beautiful countryside. Ideally situated easy walking distance into town and the train station. Highly recommend The Larches and we are looking forward to visiting again. Sara, thank you for making our stay very enjoyable. Tracey and Andy
