Went on a nice sunny day in July.Easy to find using sat nav. There is some kind of shuttle bus that covers the Mynd too. Busy with families at the bottom as there are school hols. All visitors seem to be friendly. The views are brill at the top and its absolutely full of peace and quiet. Takes about 45 mins to reach high end and approx 80 mins to reach peak. Nice walk back down. Wild ponies around too. Take a picnic but there is a coffee shop at the car park area. The National Trust guys were out in force and was quite surprised how excellent there social skills and diplomatic skills were. Usually get looked at like a foreigner looking for a benefits office. Well done.

Our 14 year old daughter did a tandem flight with Mark Leavesley Aviation today starting at LongMynd and taking in wonderful Shropshire views! It's an amazingly peaceful part of the world. Highly recommended. Stay at the Stiperstones Inn which is an excellent base for this part of the world. We'll be back.

Good views and walks. Bilberries in season. Gliding for those so minded. And the scary scary road to Church Stretton

Cycled up and over the Long Mynd...what a challenge! Stunning scenery that was worth the struggle. Take a picnic and enjoy your time here.

After a long trudge (for some of the party) through Carding Mill Valley we found ourselves on the Long Mynd and walked along Portway towards Pole Bank. Having walked this way once before we were again stumped by a lack of signs to Pole Bank and so followed the track. This turned out to be a bonus as we found a lovely little footpath back to Little Stretton which we would otherwise have missed.
