Luxury, architect designed conversion to very high standard with contemporary fittings. Loved the underfloor heating under the stone floor downstairs.

The view and the sound of the sea were to die for and we could not keep off the little balcony, whether it was for breakfast, with a book or a glass of wine.

Open and airy with amazing views from the kitchen and balcony with three vistas from the bedroom plus the stars at night view from the bed. Sheer heaven.

Washing machine, dishwasher (not that you ever need it for two) and a lovely shower in the en suite. Even hair straighteners there... have thought of everything.

Even able to park securely outside the door. A lovely hideway and very sorry to leave.

We absolutely loved the location of the property with its outstanding sea views and it was great to be less than a 5 minute walk down to Porlock Weir itself. We ate at the (Bottom) Ship Inn overlooking the weir on a couple of nights and had afternoon tea at Porlock Weir Cafe the day of our departure. Would recommend both and also the (Top) Ship Inn in Porlock village, just a short drive away.

We are very particular when choosing a holiday cottage and were pleased that St Anthony's Cottage lived up to our expectations. It had comfortable beds and sofas, clean modern bathrooms, a great outlook, plenty of space and everything we needed. The bottle of wine, milk, tea, coffee & biscuits and local newspaper were a nice welcome touch. We voted it our 'holiday cottage with the best view'. The garden was also a great space for outdoor games with our son. We enjoyed exploring the surrounding area, finding the toll gate a little further down the road, walking on the pebbled beach, purchasing some great paintings from Harbour Studios on the weir, visiting Dunster and watching the surfers at Woolacombe. We wished we could have stayed longer and thoroughly enjoyed our week at St Anthony's Cottage.

Gorgeous little cottage with views of the beach or harbour from every window. Very comfortable beds, gorgeous bed linen, spacious living area, real fire and a garden tat backs straight onto the beach. We loved it, wish we could have stayed longer. The little fish and chip shop on the quay is fantastic too. All in all a great cottage in a great location, we will definitely go back.

We have stayed in the Coach House several times. It is wonderfully appointed, very comfortable a real home from home, but that view is just amazing. We vie with each other to do the washing up. The cottages are very, very dog friendly and we are looking forward to visiting again in 2013. Well done Chris and your family.

Room Tip: You cannot go wrong with whichever cottage you choose

Before we arrived the owner confirmed the private fenced garden only to find the garden shared between 3 properties. The owner acknowledged misleading us and refunded £80 cash
The accommodation was dirty and not maintained, see photos
2 dining chairs had been replaced with odd loose jointed ones the wrong height for the table-see photo. The bed had seen better days.
Bedroom carpet badly stained-see photo
The oven temperature controls had worn away so had to guess the settings
Far from being a luxury bathroom it was small and cramped with restricted headroom-see photo
The bathroom and toilet needed a good clean-see photo
Two wired in smoke alarms had been disconnected with the sensor removed-see photos
The smoke alarm upstairs was a battery one but the battery was dead.
The single rubbish bin shared between the two properties was overflowing as we arrived even worse when we left
The parking was restricted as you were unable to turn round if another car was there you had to reverse out blindly onto the road.
The property was clearly not 5 stars and he was committing fraud even calling it this as the Quality in tourism membership had been discontinued over 2 years ago
We emailed the owner but he just ignored us.

Room Tip: dont believe the website and check with Quality of tourism about grading
