We were wonderfully looked after and they our wedding a very special occasion.
We stayed 3 nights and both the food and the rooms were excellent.
It's a perfect venue for a romantic wedding and all the staff were very friendly.
Loved the antiques and log fires and the atmosphere generally. Tanya Miller was a charming
hostess.

Room Tip: Harbour view rooms give a lovey outlook.

Lovely hotel, very different with all the antiques. We loved the quiet location and would definately stay here again. We were upgraded to a room with sea view. Very friendly staff and excellent breakfast.

Not like any hotel I've ever stayed before. Service was excellent - views stunning (room 11). Its creaky and sort of comfortable\cosy and very homely. Not sure I liked all the antiqiues - they gave it an air of fustiness and I wanted to straighten all the paintings on the walls - they were all skewed which drove me mad. Food was ave-good and we had a lovely time. Log fire was lovely but everywhere smelled of woodsmoke and my clothes still smell. Very different but beautiful location.

Thank you Arthur and colleagues (whose names we don't know!) for providing such a warm welcome during our stay. The hotel is enchanting, the setting is magical and the rooms very comfortable. Everything is on the doorstep, the beauty of the shingle beach, lovely walks (including one to the smallest church in England), car parking, interesting shops selling quality goods, a pub, fish and chips and of course The Anchor. I wasn't aware that such places existed only 2 1/4 hours from where I live and I'll be back!

Booked this on an Amazon Local deal back in July and have to say we loved it. It is unique, quirky and very cosy and relaxing with roaring open fires to sit and have the G&T by. Our rooms had harbour views, were comfy and they seem to have thought of everything, even if you wanted a flask of tea/soup (small price), if you were going on a long ramble. All the rooms are crammed with antiques and Collectibles. I don't know where they will find room for the Christmas tree! We ate in the restaurant one night and the food was lovely, on hot plates and presented well, once or twice service could have been a little better. Breakfast was plentiful and fresh with lovely proper coffee and the cream tea which was included in our deal was gorgeous with warm scones. I would have liked to have met Tanya to personally pass on my thanks, although Victor does a fab job of running the place, including keeping the fire going and lighting all those candles every day. The trays of sweets are a lovely touch. We will definitely return to this little gem.

Stayed for two nights in November. Beautiful setting and a lovely hotel. Our room had a huge and very comfortable 4-poster bed and a wonderful sea view. Love the hotel décor and all the books everywhere. Food and drink of a very high standard and staff could not have been more helpful. We loved it!
