“Great beer and location.”
Reviewed 4 June 2014 via mobile

Sat outside as it was a sunny afternoon.
Tried a couple of local beers St Austell Tribute and Exmoor Ale which were excellent but felt a little on expensive side (assume paying for the location)
Service was quick and courteous when ordering drinks.
Can imagine in peak season this would be very crowded and getting a table would be a challenge.

Will visit again

“Could be friendlier”
Reviewed 31 May 2014 via mobile

Called in for a drink on the way back from the beach. We were a bit taken aback by the over zealous demands for ID.
Not the best kept pint of Tribute. Good job we were all thirsty.

“Good scran, good atmosphere, good Zyder!”
Reviewed 26 May 2014

Admittedly we went slightly out of season, which was probably a good idea, but the Bottom Ship was great. The staff were very very friendly and helpful, the food first rate, the atmosphere very warm and intimate and the locals, who use the place lots, welcoming. We had several meals here, so I honestly can't remember what we had except for trying Gnocchi for the first time - not the last, either. Thatchers Cheddar Valley cider is rather interesting..........!!

“Well worth a visit”

Comfortable, relaxed pub in a quaint quay side location. We popped in for a light lunch and had a very nice cheese and ham ploughmans with a nice beer.

“great location and beer”
Reviewed 13 May 2014

This is a great pub to find at the end of a long walk, just what a good pub should be, great beer, fire and good pub food in an excellent location next to the harbour, worth the extra walk from Porlock
