We stayed in the Selworthy room which was very spacious, spotlessly clean, four poster bed very comfy and whirlpool bath amazing. We both had the 5 course fish tasting menu with the recommended wine and it was one of the best meals we have had and we were very glad we opted for the wine package.

Location is lovely and relaxing and Sarah made us both feel welcome and very spoilt! We will definitely be going back and be recommending to family and friends.

Room Tip: Selworthy room is highly recommended although I haven t seen the others.

We stayed for a couple of nights and wish we had arranged to stay longer. The welcome was warm, the bedrooms comfortable and the food excellent. Even to dog was made to feel welcome.
Apart from that, we did some beautiful walks on Exmoor.

Opposite the main car -park THE CAFE is a small but special hotel, with about five bedrooms and outstanding food. The shy Chef is Andy and the attentive host is his wife Sarah. (Oliver is Andrew's apparently look-alike young son). The rooms are economical, spotless and comfortable and the-to order- cooking memorable. Book well ahead, and that also applies to dining. I'm loth to share this secret but feel I must! Clive Swift (aka TV's "Richard Bouquet").

Room Tip: book early!

We stayed for two nights over New Year..the hospitality and food were excellent as always.Andrews imaginative and delicious food, is wonderful, and it was lovely to see in the New Year with balloons and party poppers.!! Sarah ensures everything in the dining room and bedrooms are to a high standard, and her staff, Lissie and Joanne complement the smooth running of the experience.Mustnt forget to mention the cream tea with Fizz, on the afternoon of arrival!
The venue is great and we walked to Culbone Church on New Years Day, despite the weather and were rewarded with another lovely meal!!
Thankyou all and will be back soon!

This was a Christmas present for my girlfriend, and couldn't have been better! Room was amazing looking over the sea, and the seafood tasting menu was better than a lot of larger restaurants we've been to. Big portions for a tasting menu too!

Would definitely recommend, probably during winter as it's a lot quieter.

Room Tip: We stayed in Watersmeet, one of the cheaper rooms but still had a sea view!
