We met a couple of friends from overseas to catch up. This is a pleasant pub in a nice little village and a very nice place to have lunch. However, we paid £240 for the four of us (inc 2 bottles of wine), which I think was a little overpriced. We all had starters and mains and coffee. Two of us had scallops to start with (at something like £11.95 each) and was slightly dismayed to get a plate with TWO scallops on it. (It may have been three....from memory...but definitely no more than that and I am sure it was two). A little extortionate I think! The husbands had steak which neither of them were particularly impressed with. A nice little pub, but too pricey for what they are dishing up.
