Just got back from a mid week break in Damson Cottage. The location is incredible, had a wonderful view of the river and horses grazing from our bedroom window. The bedroom was comfortable, tidy and cosy and had sky tv.
The breakfast was delicious! Had scrambled eggs from their own chickens with our full english breakfasts. Had a walk from damson cottage into lacock every morning through the fields along the river and saw woodpeckers among other wildlife. Lacock was stunning. All in all a perfect break.

Stayed 2 nights in December 2011 - a lovely find indeed. A warm and cosy B&B. James and Dilly were always ready to help with tips around Lacock. A delicious hearty English breakfast awaited us each morning - thank you Dilly!. Lola is very cute - our teens loved the company!

I stayed just one night, felt rested after a great night's sleep in this lovely village; loved the personal, friendly welcome - loved Lola and the great breakfast. Shame to leave...will be back with family, without a doubt!!

Room Tip: Top floor - double bed, shared bathroom was no problem Was at front of house but very quiet

We had a lovely weekend break here and wished we could have stayed longer. As soon as we got here we were welcomed and relaxed straight in to holiday mode.

Our room was beautiful, like a being in a modern farmhouse but will lots of character.

We found our room and shared bathroom to be spotless. Dilly was a great hostess and the whole family were helpful. Lola the dog was adorable!

For breakfast we had a good full English and there was lots of cereals to choose from.
I would definitely reccommend staying here and we're looking forward to going back soon so we can explore more of the quintessential English countryside Damson Cottage is set in.

By chance we stumbled on this wonderful true gem of what B+B's should all be! We loved the personal touch of Dilly and her husband who went out of their way to help- even to the extent of booking our next B+B! True service. The rooms were beautifully furnished and the spacious bathroom was next door and this was not a problem as it is a small ish B+B. The full breakfasts with fresh strawberries was devine! Walking across the fields on a sealed path to the the delightful village of Lacock where we were spoilt for choice of where to eat was unbelievable! True Costwold experience and a highlight of our touring around for the week! This is a must stay experience!
